Family Christmas 2018

I am going to make a conscious effort to do more scrap booking next year so I thought I would start with some family photographs from Christmas day.

I used some Dovecraft Heritage Christmas papers and some old alphabet stickers from my stash.

Christmas Garden

I still have a few Christmas cards to share, I hope you are not fed up with them.  I used one Luxury Topper Set to create both cards - I have got all of my collections muddled up so I'm not sure exactly which ones they are.

All I have added is some gold Mirri card stock, gold Diamond Sparkles Gemstones, a scrap of ribbon and some twine.

There is a sheet of super toppers and two fabulous papers - they are so pretty, a joy to create with.

All I have added is a doily, a sentiment from the Sara Davies Vintage Tea Party Collection and a little tea bag tucked into the pocket.

Family Christmas

I thought I would do something a little different today and share some family photographs from Christmas Day.

We always spend the day as a family - this is my two wonderful sons wearing their Christmas jumpers.

This is me and Hubby, you will probably be able to tell that his favourite Christmas film is Die Hard!

This final one is us all together with the two Grandmothers.

I hope you all had a wonderful day like we did.

Thank you for popping in today.

Happy Birthday Matt

I created this card for my youngest son to give his brother on his Birthday.  I cut the image from some First Edition Wild at Heart papers, the other papers come from a mixture of Christmas paper from my stash,

I computer generated the 'Happy Birthday' and used a Die-Versions die to cut the 'Matt'.

Birthday Cake

I have used a Hunkydory kit to create this bright and cheerful Birthday card for a family friend, it was her Birthday yesterday - a bit close to Christmas!

I fussy cut the little banner so that I could arrange it over the main topper, the card stock was actually from two different collections - I have managed to get them all muddled up so I am not sure which collections they are from.

I used some more of the card stock for the insert and layered everything on gold Mirri card stock.

Happy Birthday Grandson

This is the card that I created for my Mum to give to my eldest son on his Birthday.

I used the Hunkydory A Good Sport, it was the Hunkydory Club Gift this month and is a brilliant kit for those difficult masculine cards.

I used some Sue Wilson Pierced square dies to cut out the brushed gold Mirri card and also found a nice verse on line for the insert, my Mum likes 'nice words' in her cards.

The Graduate

My eldest son graduated from Reading University this year - he achieved a first in his Primary Education degree, he also received a first for his dissertation and was marked as outstanding for his school placement, we are very proud of him.

He has almost completed his first term teaching and I have eventually managed to create a layout using a photograph of him just before he handed in his dissertation along with one of the photographs from his graduation ceremony in July.

I decided to print the photographs in black and white, it was so sunny (also very hot) on the day and the photographs are all very bright which made it difficult to find papers to go with them - I'm pleased to say he liked the end result.

Happy Birthday Son

It was my eldest son's Birthday yesterday and this is the card that I created for him - he loves plaid shirts so when I saw the Simple Stories Plaid Dad Paper collection I knew it would be perfect for him.

I used my Dymo Label maker to create the Happy Birthday sentiment and a Die-Versions die, that I have had in my stash for a very long time, to cut the Son.

Christmas Notelet Set

I was asked by Hunkdory to create a Christmas Notelet set for their 12 Makes of Christmas Event, it is on the Hunkydory Blog today - you can find it HERE.

Everything I have used is from Hunkydory with the exception of the ribbon.

I used some Adorable Scorable to create the cover and pockets on the inside.

I then used gold Mirri card stock and paper from the Christmas Perfect Backgrounds Stamping Pad to decorate it.

To create the little Thank You notelets inside I used images from some of the Christmas Little Books and card stock from the Classic Christmas Luxury Topper Collection.

I added a sentiment from the For the Love of Stamps Terrific Tags & Beautiful Banners Sentiments.

If you would like to see more photographs and find out how I created the folder, the full instructions along with links to all of the products that I used are HERE on the Hunkydory Blog, please pop over and take a look - it would be much appreciated if you could leave a quick comment.
