Reindeer Family

I've managed to make another Christmas card that is suitable to pop in the post, it's so difficult to keep them flat enough!

I have used another of my Crafter's Companion Sweet 16th Birthday purchases, the Reindeer Family Create-a-Card die along with papers from the First Edition Arctic Wonder Paper collection.  I used some Aqua card stock and a very old Dovecraft sentiment stamp that has been in my stash for ages, I popped it up with 2mm foam pads.

Thank you for popping in today, please leave a comment so that I can come and visit you.

  9. A gorgeous silhouette scene, the papers are perfect to draw the eye to the wonderful die cut deer. Keeping everything flat to post is such a difficult task at times, I love adding embellishments and layers but have to stop myself.

  16. This is a lovely card. I have the same problem... I some times just give up and just add the extra postage... especially if it's for someone special!

  21. This is such an elegantly lovely wintertime greeting.

Gosh, do I feel your pain there, my sweet friend. Anything over 2 tiny centimetres thick is considered a "parcel" by Canada Post (regardless of if its national or international mail), which ups the sending price massively, so I'm constantly trying to find ways of adding layers and embellishments to some of my makes, while keeping the total thickness below that itty-bitty limit.

If only the postal systems of the world would make a category (with much larger dimensions) for us paper crafters!
