Nightingale

We have a lot of birthdays in our family in June, it is the busiest month of the year for us, this card is for my Brother-in-Law - you probably guessed that from the sentiment!

My Brother-in-Law is quite difficult to make for, he doesn't really have any hobbies - I usually make him a seaside themed card because they live on the coast but I though I would make something different this time.  I used my Hunkydory Watercolour Wings collection, I used one of the toppers, I trimmed the gold surround away because I wanted to create a more vintage look and inked the edges, I also used one of the co-ordinating card stock sheets and some twine from my stash.

Thank you for visiting my blog today, your company is much appreciated - please leave a comment so that I can come and visit you.

  5. It’s lovely Pauline...very masculine and vintage so I think it will be perfect for him...men really are difficult unless they have a hobby and even then it can be hard....Rich makes all the masculine friends cards for me...using records he photographs and alters the labels digitally to something appropriate getting him crafting at last....
    Take care xxxx

  28. What an elegant, timelessly attractive design. Sooo true about the challenges of creating cards for those who do not have many (or any) hobbies, things they actively collect, favourite sports teams, and so forth. When I run into this, nature themed makes are one of my first go-tos as well.
