Happy Birthday Auntie

This is another card that I have created using the Ocean Breeze collection from The Paper Boutique.  I used papers and a sentiment topper from the Paper Kit along with card stock from the Coloured Card collection.

I decided to tear the patterned paper rather that cut it for a change and added a sentiment from the Embellishment Pad.

Christmas Peace Banner

I was asked to create three off the page projects for the latest edition of Crafter's Inspiration, issue 24 which is being launched on Create and Craft today, Jan will be there at 7 am - you can also find it in the Crafter's Companion shop HERE.

This is one of them, a banner made using the Snowflake Bauble die along with the Winter's Tale Paper Collection from the Papercraft CD - both are included with the magazine along with a set of stamps and an embossing folder, there are nine fabulous paper collections on the CD.

It is always difficult to photograph banners, you have to get so far away to get them all in!

I would like to enter this banner into the CD Sunday Plus Challenge #19.

We spent a lovely day at the beach yesterday, the weather was glorious and I even managed a yummy slice of cappuccino cake!

Making the most of the Sun

It was such a lovely sunny day we decided to make the most of it and take Ramsey for a lovely walk on Chilbolton Common.

Of course, Ramsey had to go in the water.

He runs in the water and lays down waiting for us to throw him a stick to chase.

He always runs back with them but never actually gives them back for you to throw again!

After our walk we went to the White Lion Inn in Wherwell for a lovely lunch, they welcome dogs so this is a regular haunt for us - this is my lunch

This is Paul's, he always has the same!

The forecast is for a lovely weekend so I think we might take Ramsey for a walk in Collingbourne Woods before picking up Mother in Law, she always spends the day with us on a Saturday.

Home

I created this wall plaque some time ago, I used the Floral Alphabet Stamps from Crafter's Companion, you can find them HERE.

The stamps are so beautifully detailed that I decided to stamp the letters with VersaMark ink and used White Puff Embossing Powder, I also inked around the edges of each letter and embossed with the same powder.

It's finished

Actually, it's nearly finished but I'm going to have to leave the final touches for a while because I have some DT projects to complete and quite frankly, I've had just about enough of sorting through everything!  I just have my magazine collection to go through and hopefully I will manage to part with some of them.

This is my Creative Crafting World and Hunkydory Wall along with some of my CD/DVD collection and my Gemini.

This is my main wall of storage, I have most of my papers, 12 x 12 card stock and lots of my die cut collections stored on this wall, to the right side it is mostly Crafter's Companion.  On the far right, round the corner, I have more Crafter's Companion and my Joanna Sheen stash.

This is my desk, I have two computer screens, the one on the right is used for watching YouTube,  Netflix and Amazon prime, I like to have something playing in the background when I create.

This is the window wall, obviously - I have a large chest of drawers here where I store my ribbons, gems, glitters, embossing powers, packaging and lots of odds and ends.  My guillotine, embossing boards, sewing machine and Sizzix Big Shot sit on the top.  The drawer unit to the side of my desk holds all of my inks and the unit on top of it holds card blanks and white A4 card stock.

This is the wall behind my desk, I store my Crafter's Companion Subscription Boxes on top along with all of the bits and bobs that I use most often, including A4 card stock and colouring pens and pencils.  I also have my printer and Gemini Junior at the far end.

You would not believe how much I have parted with, I probably should have got rid of more but I find it difficult to part with any of my stash.

Thank you for popping in today, your company is much appreciated, hopefully things will get back to normal now!

A few holiday pics

I thought I would pop in and share a few photographs from our recent holiday in Somerset.

It was a family holiday - me, hubby, Matthew and Hannah, Laurence and MIL plus Ramsey of course.

We stayed in a large house in a small village, this is Matthew playing with Ramsey in the lounge.

This was one of our many walks along a nature trail on the Somerset Levels.

Laurence posing behind one of the Sand Sculptures at Weston-super-Mare.

and one of the beautiful beaches, the tide goes out for miles.

I have just about finished sorting my craft room, I have a few cards for a magazine commission to make and then I will be able to make a few cards to blog before I start on a commission for Crafter's Companion.

Thank you for popping in today, your company is much appreciated - please leave a comment so that I can come and visit you.

Apologies

I am here to apologise for the lack of posts on my blog at the moment and my lack of blog visiting and commenting.  I was on holiday last week and you might remember a couple of weeks ago I started a major re-organization of my craft room, well it is still on-going.  I have over ten years worth of stash to go through and I am finding it very difficult to get rid of anything!

I have lots of new storage units and storage boxes and I think I can see the end of the tunnel .  I just have all of my dies to go through and make the difficult decision of what to keep and what to get rid of,

It's a little frustrating because I have lots of cards that I have created but am unable to share because they are DT makes  and projects for magazines that I can't share before the magazines are published.

Thank you for your patience, hopefully I will be back to normal soon.

Celebrate your Birthday

This is another card that I created for my eldest sons girlfriend, this is the one that Laurence gave to her.

I used a die and papers from my Tonic Craft Kit 24, I created a faux stained glass effect that was inspired by Gerry from Gerry's Craft Room - you can find her video HERE.

The sentiment is also from the kit, I decorated the inside of the card using the same papers and another stamp from the kit.
