Winter Wishes

I didn't manage to post yesterday, I am in the middle of a major re-organization of my craft room and I really mean major! I have 10 years worth of stash to go through and I am really going to be ruthless and get it sorted once and for all so if I don't appear much over the next week you will know why.

I have another shaker card to share today, I used the Christmas Window Stamp and Die collection to create this card, you get stamps to create the view from the inside and outside of the window, I decided to look outside for this card.

I used Kraft cardstock and papers from the Nature’s Garden Poinsettia Perfection Paper Pad. The sentiment is from the Christmas Window Stamp and Die collection.

I inked the edges of everything, I think the patterned paper looks a bit like old wall paper and the inking adds to the vintage feel.  The ribbon, twine and pearls are from my stash,

Thank you for popping in today, your company is much appreciated - please leave a comment so that I can come and visit you.

  1. Lovely side stepper card Pauline...just perfect for the shaker window..
Good luck with the craft room organising...I have slowly been doing the same thing a bit at a time going to charity each week...it’s all my cross stitching stuff this week,my eyes and hands are just not up to it anymore...it feels good when it’s done but that “Why did I start this” moment comes far too often!.......xxxx

  6. A beautiful card Pauline - I love the vintage feel to it.
I understand your dilemma - when my family remove the 'stuff' they have stored in my studio, then I will have to do likewise as I want to totally re-organise the space!

A clear out? OH! good luck. I haven't that much, but keep looking at it and wanting to clear out or at least reorganise, so daunting.

  12. I love everything about this card. The paper, the fold, the window and the scene in the window. It's hard to purge but I need to do that too. If I reorganize I can't find anything!

  13. A beautiful card, love the tall stepper shape. Good luck with sorting out your room, I've tried on several occasions, then I'll find something I had forgotten about and have to make something with it, very easy to get distracted in my case. Perhaps your resolve is stronger than mine :)
