As promised I am sharing a couple of the cards that were recently published in Creative Cardmaking.
I was commissioned to create 5 Mother's Day cards, each one had to be achieved within a 20 minute time limit and I also had a colour scheme to use. It wasn't the easiest commission for me as I usually take a lot more than 20 minutes to make a card.
For this card I used an image and papers from Joanna Sheen's One Summer's Day CD-ROM and a sentiment from Pink Petticoat.
I used one layer of decoupage to add a little interest and some pearls from my stash.
For the second card I used the same papers but created a very CAS card.
The sentiment is from Pink Petticoat again and I just added a simple bow.
I would like to enter these cards into the following challenges:
Pile It On Challenge 55 - Use a Bow
Crafting from the Heart Challenge 46 - Anything Goes
Through the Purple Haze Challenge 77 - Flowers
Thank you so much for visiting today, your company is much appreciated.

These are amazing cards Pauline. That is such a pretty image from the cd and the colours are fabulous. I love the CAS card - it may be very CAS, but with the ribbon, sentiment and rounded corners it looks so elegant xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Pauline and congratulations. 20 minutes? It takes me that long to just get my crafty stuff out! And often hours to decide what to make! Haha. I tend to think they time it for someone copying it, so they would have all the ingredients there ready, then ready stready go - 20 minutes later a card! Well, that is how I used to plan it out anyhow! I think you have done brilliant with this card Pauline! Judy x
ReplyDeleteI don't know if it would be possible for me to make a card in 20 min now. Even my CAS cards seem to take forever! Well done - they are both beautiful! I am not surprised these were chosen to publish!

ReplyDeleteQuite a challenging task, but you did a great job! I don't think I've ever made a card in less than 20. If I've done it's because I've spent hours figuring out the design in my mind in forehand and absolutely everything is ready on my desk...
