Fun in the Sun


This is the card I have made for this months Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Bright and Sunny.  I've had this stamp for some time (along with one or two others) and decided that it was time to ink it up.


I have followed the sketch from the current Sketch and Stash challenge and coloured my image with ProMarkers.  I then inked the background with Distress Inks before cutting it out with a Spellbinders circle die.  The papers are Pink Petticoat - I have embossed the plain one with a Darice embossing folder and used my new Spellbinders Curved Border die to cut the wavy border.  The little aeroplane is a button from my stash and the corner is a Die-namics die cut.  I stamped a sentiment using a Personal Impressions stamp and added 3D Crystal Lacquer to the rubber ring and glass.

    This is such a great card, Pauline! I like how you've given the sketch your own personal twist, using that fabulous wavy die cut border! The striped paper to make the sea, the embossed clouds on the plain one, the sweet cat enjoying a lazy day - it all comes together so beautifully! This card is one of my favorite cards of yours!
