Hedge Word

Good morning everyone, I had a great day yesterday.  It was my youngest son's birthday - he was fifteen, my eldest son passed the theory part of his driving test and we have, at long last, found a nursing home for my father.  Dad moves in tomorrow and he will be nice and close to both me and my Mum so hopefully, as soon as he is settled, life will get back to some sort of normality - it will never be quite the same again, but we should at least be able to get back into some sort of routine.

Anyway, as I said, it was my son's birthday and this is the card I made for his brother to give him.

I saw this Penny Black stamp on a blog sometime ago and I just had to get it, I think it's ideal for male cards.  I have coloured the cute little hedgehogs with ProMarkers and used some Echo Park papers that I have had for ages.  The card stock is Core'dinations and I used my Spellbinders Ric Rac die to cut the bottom edge.  The string and button are from my stash.

I have decorated the inside of the card using the same papers and layout as the front.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Come and Get It Challenge - Masculine
Simon Says Stamp &  Show Challenge - Anything Goes
Brown Sugar Challenge 48 - Boy/Man
Wags 'n Whiskers Challenge 107 - Cute as a Button
Hobbycutz Challenge 9 - Anything with 'H' (Hedgehogs)
The Paper Nest Dolls challenge 7  - Animal Love
Papertake Weekly Challenge - Anythings Goes, Option: include animals/creatures

Thank you so much for visiting me today.  Hopefully, as soon as we get Dad settled into the nursing home, I will have more time to craft and will be able to come and visit everyone a little more often.

  28. Hi, Pauline! By now your dad is settled back in with you, and I hope all is going well for your family. A big milestone with your son having passed the theory part of his driving test!! Your PB card is adorable with the little hedgehogs, but it is your choice of layout, papers and beautiful hand-pieced layers which make it extraordinary - the inside is very pretty, too. Thanks for sharing, and for always leaving the sweetest comments on my blog. I think somehow that Bloglovin did not put your blog in my Friends Folder so I need to do that right now. hugs, de

But it's up and running again now, and at least I've been able to make a couple of cards today. These hedgehogs are the cutest and this image is perfect for both male and female cards.
