I used some Gold Mirri card stock, also from Joanna Sheen and some gold ribbon from my stash.

The sentiment is two separate LOTV stamps, embossed with gold WOW embossing powder.

This is the inside of the card, you can also see the decoupage in this photograph.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Birthday Boy

This is the card I made for my son who was seventeen recently, I thought the image looked rather like his bedroom does most of the time.  I am going to enter it into this weeks CD Sunday Challenge - All about Birthdays.

I have used an image from The Best of La Pashe CD again, the image is decoupaged but you can hardly see it in the photograph.  The papers are also from the CD and everything has been layered onto some Onyx Stardream card stock from Joanna Sheen.  My sentiments have been computer generated and I have embellished with a couple of music note brads.

As usual I have decorated the inside of my card, this time I have used the same papers but in a different colour, I was going to use this colour on the front to start with but changed my mind and rather than waste them I used them on the inside.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

The CD Sunday Challenge - All about Birthdays
Here Come the Boys Challenge 42 - Anything Goes
Bunny Zoe's Crafts Monthly Challenge - Celebration
My Heart Pieces Challenge - Anything Goes
Paper Crafting Journey Challenge - Anything Goes
Divas by Design Challenge 66 - Anything Goes
The Little Red Wagon Challenge 165 - Boxing Day (include a box or a square)

I hope everyone is enjoying the Christmas break, I work quite hard on Christmas day as both my family and my husband's family come to us for the day, Boxing Day is my day of rest when everyone looks after me, so I decided to do a bit of crafting while the boys play their new games.

Thank you so much for calling, please pop back again soon.

As usual I have decorated the inside of my card, it is quite simple as I did not use any design  papers for this card.

Happy Birthday Matt

My eldest son is seventeen today, he was due to be born on Christmas Eve but there was no way I was going to be in hospital over Christmas so we went to see Mel Gibson's Braveheart at the Cinema and that seemed to get things moving - he was born the next day!

This is the card that I made for my younger son to give him, actually it was the one that I made for me and his dad to give him, but Laurence somehow managed to write in the wrong one:

Quite a simple card, but I often find these more difficult to make as you don't have the opportunity to cover up any mistakes.  As usual I have decorated the inside of my card as well:

Card Recipe:

Papers:   Echo Park - So Happy Together
Card Stock:  Crafter's Companion - Core'dinations
Tools:  Spellbinders - Standard Circle and Classic Square (inside card),
X-Cut Star Die
Sentiment:  Simon Says Stamp - Monthly Card Kit

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Polka Doodles Week 50 - Birthday at Christmas/Young Adult (this qualifies for both)
Papelitos Challenge 24 - Anything Goes

Well, that's about it from me today, Matt will be home from college soon and I'm cooking him a his favourite dinner - Roast Chicken.  Thank you for calling, I hope to see you again soon.

Baggy Jumper!

I'm so excited, this is my first post as a Design Team member for Forever Friends, I just love these cute little bears.  I have joined the Monthly Challenge DT and our theme for December is 'Christmas Cards', I'm sure you still need to make a few - I know I certainly do.

This is my card, my youngest son decided he wanted it to give to his big brother, hence the sentiment - Matt always wears big baggy jumpers so I can see why Laurence thought it would be ideal for him.

It's quite a simple card really, I printed the image several times and decoupaged it, I bet that's a surprise to those of you who know me.  Full details of everything I have used are listed below.

I have decorated the inside of my card using the same design and papers as the front:

Forest Friends

Just a very quick post from me this evening, I must apologise to everyone for being such a bad blogger at the moment, I'm just so busy with Craft Fairs and the Children's Christmas activities are all in full swing already.  This is the card I made for my Mum and Dad for their Wedding Anniversary:

This is an 8 x 8 inch card, I don't make many of those these days.  Both Mum and Dad love nature so I chose this lovely squirrel decoupage from Joanna Sheen's Giordano Forest Friends Collection.  The papers are from one of Joanna's CD's - I don't know which one as they were already printed out. Everything has been layered onto some bronze card stock and the leaf embellishments were cut using a Cheery Lynn Designs Small Leaves die.  I added some pearls and ribbon from my stash and a computer generated sentiment cut out with a Spellbinders Labels Four die.

As always I have decorated the inside of my card to complement the front:

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

The Crazy Challenge 133 - Autumn Colours
Card Mania Challenge 9 - Wedding/Anniversary
Crafty Ann's Challenge 79 - Birds and/or Animals

Birthday Wishes for You

Well it's Wednesday afternoon again and that means it's time for a new challenge at Crafting for all Seasons and our theme this fortnight is 'USE FLOWERS'.

We have three great sponsors for this challenge:

I have decided to use the beautiful 'Nevaeh' image from Saturated Canary  I rarely use Saturated Canary images because I feel I cannot do justice to the gorgeous hair - my colouring skills need much more practice - I feel a New Years Resolution forming here!

I have followed the sketch from the Saturated Canary Challenge, coloured her with ProMarkers and my papers are one of the Nitwit Collections, I had printed them out ages ago and found them when sorting out my Craft Room (which is still ongoing).  Full details of everything I have used are listed below.

I have decorated the inside of my card to complement the front using the same layout and papers but I'm afraid there is no photograph today as I just couldn't get one that was good enough to show - for some reason the colours were not coming out true.

Music Bear

Good morning, I hope everyone is well and enjoying the new week. We have a new challenge for you at Bearly Mine Designs and this week the theme is - BLUE AND SILVER.

My decoupage image is from The Best of La Pashe Decoupage CD ROM and the papers are Bearly Mine Designs - Christmas Wishes.  This is going to be my youngest sons Christmas card - he loves music and bears - I would normally put his name on the front but it just didn't look right no matter where I put it, so I will just write on the inside.

I have die cut the stars from corrugated card - I just love the texture and look you get from this, the little star buttons have been hiding in my stash for ages.  Full details of everything I have used are listed below.

I have decorated the inside of my card using the same papers and layout as the front:

Christmas Robin

This is my fourth and final week as Guest Designer for the CD Sunday Challenge and our theme this week is 'Inspired by Nature'.  I would like to thank the CD Sunday Team for inviting me to Guest Design for them, I have thoroughly enjoyed the month I have spent with them.

I have used an image and papers from my Joanna Sheen - The Jayne Netley Mayhew Collection Part 2 CD.  I use this image every year on a Christmas card, I love it so much.  It is not actually a decoupage image on the CD so I print it out multiple times and make my own.

I have decorated the inside of my card using the same layout and papers along with a small image that is actually on the backing papers.

Card Recipe:

Image and Papers:  Joanna Sheen - The Jayne Netley Mayhew Collection
Part 2
Card Stock:  Crafter's Companion - Core'dinations

I hope you are all having a fab weekend.

Snowman Couple

Good Morning everyone, it's time for a new Challenge over at The Crafty Pad, it was my turn to choose the theme this week and I decided to challenge myself and have chosen - Add Some Glitter - it can be anything you like as long as we can see some glitter.

Those of you who know me will be aware that I don't often use glitter, the occasional stickles and that's about it.  Well I remembered why that was when making my card - I managed to get glitter absolutely everywhere, you've never seen such a mess!  My image is The Crafty Pad - Snowman Couple - don't they just look jolly.

I've gone for a silver and white theme with just the splash of blue ProMarker on their hats, gloves and scarves.  The silver is mainly glitter, I'm amazed any managed to get on the card there was so much all over me and my craft room.  I sponged a little background for my snowman couple with distress ink and then embossed some snowflakes onto it, you can just about see it behind them.  I then layered my die cut trees and snowman couple on top of it.  The snowflakes and stars are from my stash and I cut the sentiment from one of last years Christmas cards.

I didn't quite know what to do to decorate the inside of my card because I had not used any designer papers so I kept it very simple using the square that I had die cut from the front of my card and some silver mirror card.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Liebster Blog Award

My lovely blog friend Arty Andrea has very kindly presented me with the Liebster Award, thank you so much Andrea for your generosity and kind words.

To keep this award alive and thriving I have to choose five people who inspire me and pass it on to them.  It is so difficult to choose just five, but eventually I have chosen the following blog friends, all of whom inspire and encourage me with their creativity, company, kind comments and support:

Andrea - KandA Creative Moments Blog
Betty - Betty's Crafty Place
Jane - cutecrittercards
Michelle - The Messy Barn
Rachel - Fisher's Cards and Crafts

I have copied this explanation directly from Andrea's blog as I did not want to get the rules wrong:

“Liebster is a German word meaning "Beloved," “Favourite," or "Dearest. "This award is a peer to peer award in which fellow bloggers present the award to their favourite blogger with less than 200 followers.”

Rules.
*Thank the person who gave you the award and link back to their blog.
*Post the award on your blog.
*Give the award to five bloggers who appreciate, and have less than 200 followers.
* Leave a comment on their blog to let them know you have given them this awesome award!

Do keep this going and show your appreciation for other bloggers out there who deserve this award.

If you have already received this award and passed it on, then you have already ensured its continuity.

If you feel able, please pass this award on to five blog friends who encourage and inspire you.

A Dad like you .......

This is my third week as Guest Designer for the CD Sunday Challenge and our theme this week is 'Layer It Up'.
