Little Witch

This is the second DT card that I made for the Crafting for all Seasons Challenge.  This image is from Just Some Lines and is called Little Witch 1, I coloured her with a combination of ProMarkers and Spectrum Noir pens.

Winnie in Earmuffs

Did you see Walter and Winnie on TV, it was great to see the new Walter and Winnie does Christmas CD on Create and Craft this week.  The DT have been lucky enough to have had the CD for a while now and the image on my card for this weeks Willlow Sketchie Challenge - Winnie in Earmuffs - is from the Decoupagee section:

This week  Lis M has provided us with this fab sketch to work with:

I embossed some Kraft card with a Polka Dot Mask for the base and used my new Edgeabilities to cut a decorative edge on some of the lovely papers from the CD.  Winnie is mounted on a Kraft die cut shape which in turn is mounted on some more lovely papers from the CD.  The alphabet tiles have been cut from some Kaisercraft papers that were free with my Simply Homemade magazine and then matted onto some pink core'dinations card stock.  Full details of everything I have used are listed below.

This is the inside of my card, I have decorated it to complement the front:

Image: Walter and Winnie does Christmas CD -  Winnie in Earmuffs Decoupage
Papers:  Walter and Winnie does Christmas CD
Tools:  Cuttlebug embossing folder, Spellbinders -Labels Nineteen, Edgeabilities Classic Petal

Witch Betty

Time for another Crafting for all Seasons Challenge and this time the theme is Halloween or Halloween Colours (purple, lime green, orange and black).  I was lucky enough to get to play with images from both of our sponsors this week - Pink Cat Studio and Just Some Lines.

I'm going to show one card this week and one card at the challenge half way point next week and I've chosen to show 'Witch Betty Decorates Tree' from Pink Cat Studio first:

I decide to make a step card using one of my B-C-E templates for a change, I cut the base card from Kraft and used some free papers from Crafter's Companion.  The TRICK and TREAT letters are from Polka Doodles - Sundae of Seasons and the flowers, buttons and twine are from my stash.  As usual I used white seam binding for the bow and coloured it with my ProMarkers.

This is a slightly better view of the 'step':

Image:  Pink Cat Studio - Witch Betty Decorates Tree
Papers:  Crafter's Companion - Member Download of the Month
Tools:  B-C-E step card template
Embellishments:  seam binding, flowers, buttons and twine from stash

I would  like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Pretty in Red

Two posts in one day, that's a first for me I think.  I'm cutting it a bit fine with my entry for Top Tip Tuesday this week so I'd better get on with it, here is my card:

The image is from Joanna Sheen's Faye Whittaker Collection and the papers are NitWit Collections Cookin' Cookies.  I matted the papers onto red core'dinations card stock and the image onto gold card and then the same red core'dinations.  The red border strip is die cut from the red core'dinations card and the ribbon was some white organza coloured with a red ProMarker.  I dismantled some red Poinsettias and re-assembled them to make one larger flower with more layers, added some leaves and a label to finish.  Full details of everything I have used are listed below.

This is the inside of my card:

Image: Joanna Sheen - Faye Whittaker Collection
Papers:   NitWit Collections - Cookin' Cookies
Tools:  Spellbinders - Lace Doily Accents, Classic Squares (inside card)
Embellishments: Poinsettia, leaves and ribbon from stash
Sentiment:  LOTV

Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree

Wow, another week gone, not long until Walter and Winnie arrive at Create and Craft now, make sure you watch on Monday 17th at 8am and 2pm or set your recorder if you can't be there.  Well, time for another Willow Sketchie Challenge and it's Miria's turn to host this week.  We all used images from the Walter and Winnie does Christmas CD again and this is my card:

Here is Miria's Sketch:

As you can see I've followed the sketch closely again this week.  You can use anything from your crafty stash and any image, but we would love to see something from Willow Designs.  It's OK to flip or rotate the sketch and re-size the elements as long as the original sketch layout can be recognised:

I used the Under the Christmas Tree Decoupage set and teamed it up with some Papermania papers and Core'dinations card stock.  I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder to emboss the strip across the centre and then added a seam binding bow that I coloured with a red ProMarker.  A sentiment from the Papermainia paper pack and some star shaped gems finish the card.

I have also decorated the inside of my card:

Recipe:

Image: Walter and Winnie does Christmas CD -  Under the Christmas Tree Decoupage
Papers:  Papermania - Mistletoe and Kisses
Tools:  Cuttlebug embossing folder, Spellbinders -Classic Squares (inside card)
Embellishments:  ribbon and gems from stash

Anyone for Cheese and Wine

Good evening, it's the middle of the week already, can't believe where the time goes.  This is a card I 've made for the CD Sunday challenge, my card was picked for the top spot last week and I won a Creative Expressions stamp sheet, how good is that.  It was especially nice because The CD Sunday challenge was one of the first challenges I entered when I started my blog back in April

The theme of the challenge this week is Wine Buff and here is my card:

I used some burgundy card stock for the base and the backing paper is from my Bearly Mine Designs - Designer Extreme CD.  The Eiffel Tower image is from Creative Expressions and I stamped it onto the same burgundy card stock and embossed it with Metallic Brass embossing powders.  The image is some decoupage I've had in my stash for ages, and the sentiment is from the Hunkydory Bygone Times Collection, quite a mixture.  Full details of everything I have used are listed below.

This is the inside of my card:

Image:   Decoupage kit from stash
Papers:  Bearly Mine Designs - Designer Extreme
Tools:  Spellbinders Labels One, Sheena's WOW Embossing Powders
Embellishlments:  Creative Expressions - Carte Postale,
Sentiment:  Hunkydory Bygone Times Collection

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Don't forget to pop over to the Cupcake Craftroom Challenge Blog and enter the October Challenge - Halloween With Kraft (as long as your creation is halloween themed and there is some sort of Kraft product on your project it will fit the bill) - there's a fab paper collection for the winner.

Birthday Fun

Good morning, I loved the sketch over at Top Tip Tuesday so much I decided to make another card to enter into this weeks challenge.

This card is for my Niece's Daughter, does that make her a Great Niece? I'm not sure about that one.  The image is from Polka Doodles - Pretty Sweet, the latest CD from Nicky Hall and it doesn't disappoint.  I used some dark green card stock from my stash as a base and to mat the image and papers which are also from the CD.   I die cut the large flower, the sentiment and the flourishes from the same card stock and some matching lighter green.  The butterfly and rolled flowers are cut from some pink card stock.

This is the inside of my card

I apologise for the poor quality of the photographs, the weather is rather dreary here today and I'm struggling with poor light.

Image and Papers:  Polka Doodles - Pretty Sweet CD
Tools:  Spellbinders - Tear Drop Circles, Floral Flourishes, Marianne Creatables - LR0108, LR0162, Die-namics - Butterfly
Embellishments: gems and raffia from stash
Sentiment:  LOTV

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Paper Crafting Journey Challenge 20 - Die Cuts and/or Punches
Prairie Fairy Friday Challenge 63 - Sugar & Spice & everything nice
Flutter By Wednesday Challenge 174 - Open (with a butterfly, fairy or angel)

Praying Angel

Good evening, I hope everyone has had a lovely weekend.  I'm a bit late today because I've been to Southsea to watch my husband run in a 10k race along the sea front, it was a bit windy but at least it didn't rain.  He came 38th out of 322 not bad for an old man (don't tell him I said that) and considering he's only been running for about four months.

My card today is for the Top Tip Tuesday challenge which is a sketch by Samantha, I do like sketch challenges.

I chose the lovely LOTV Christmas Angels Die cut image - Praying, they're just so sweet and this will be another Christmas card to sell at the Craft Fair I'm doing in November.

I decided to do another easel card and used some of my Bo Bunny Father Christmas Collection papers on a base of gold card stock from my stash.  I matted the image onto a gold die cut and the flourish is also a die cut.  I made the paper Christmas Rose using My Craft Studio Paper Flower Expert.  The sentiment is a Polka Doodles stamp and I added some gold pearls to finish the card.

A slightly different view, I'm never quite sure how to photograph an easel card.

Image:  LOTV  Die Cut Designs Christmas Angels - Praying
Papers:   Bo Bunny - Father Christmas Collection
Tools:  Spellbinders - Tear Drop Circles, Floral Flourishes
Embellishments: My Craft Studio - Christmas Paper Flower Expert, pearls from stash

Trick or Treat

Hi everyone, I was asked if I would like to make a card as Guest Designer for Cupcake Cards and Crafts.  It will be a reminder post for their October Challenge - Halloween With Kraft.  Well as if I was going to refuse, what an honour, I love their challenges the DT cards are gorgeous.

So here is the card I made:

As you've probably noticed I made a little treat bag to go with the card.  I started out just making a normal card, but after I'd decided on the design I wanted I couldn't figure out how to fit the greeting in so I turned it into an easel card.

I used Kraft card as a base for my design papers and the image, the treat bag is created from Kraft paper.  The image and sentiment is from Polka Doodles Sundae of Seasons and the design papers are from Crafter's Companion.  The little spider webs in the corners are cut from a Bearly Mine design paper and the flowers were punched from Kraft paper and some of the design papers.  The other embellishments were some pearls, brads and ribbon from my stash.

This is my card on it's own, I'm never quite sure how to photograph easel cards.

and this is the treat bag, just right for some nice sweets for any Trick or Treaters that happen along on Halloween night.

Image:   Polka Doodles - Sundae of Seasons
Papers:  Crafter's Companion - Member Download of the Month, Bearly Mine Designs - Designer Extreme

Walter and the Choir

Well, it's Thursday again and that means another Willow Sketchie Challenge.  This week it's Hazel's turn to host and we've all been using the Walter and Winnie does Christmas CD again.  Have you heard the great news - Walter and Winnie are going to be on Create and Craft on Monday 17th October, can't wait to see them.

Back to the challenge, I used the Walter and the Choir decoupage, I'm really into decoupage at the moment, I know it's not particularly fashionable but I love it, here's my card:

This is Hazel's sketch:
I was good again this week and followed the sketch quite closely, Hazel would also like to see some Snowflakes on your cards.  I used my Spellbinders Ironwork motifs and Create-A-Flake Three dies to meet this requirement.

This is the inside of my card:

Fall Flowers

How quickly time goes, there's a new Challenge over at Crafting for all Seasons, this will be my fourth as a DT member and I have to say I'm having a great time.  The theme this time is Fall Flowers/Pumpkins and we are sponsored by Fred She Said.

We were all able to choose an image each to work with, I chose the gorgeous Colored Fall Flowers Set.  As you will see it contains four flowers: Asters, Black Eye Susan, Sunflower, and Chrysanthemum and you get three versions of each flower (no shadow, blue shadow, warm shadow) in single images, plus three ready-to-print sheets in each of the shadow versions all with a border that fits the paper pricking sheet that is also included.

I loved every one of the images so much that I decided to use them all and make four matching note cards:

I cut them out using my Spellbinders Labels Fifteen die and mounted them on dark green card which I cut by hand.  The paper is from one of my Bearly Mine Designs CDs and this is also mounted onto dark green card.

I then decided to make a matching box to put them in:

The lid of the box is decorated in the same way as the note cards and I lined the box with some dark green tissue paper to match.

I loved working with these images so much that I then went on to make some matching tags:

Again I used the same dark green card as a base and die cut the images using my Cuttlebug Embossed Tags folder, I then added some matching dark green ribbon to finish.

Image: Fred She Said - Colored Fall Flowers
Papers:  Bearly Mine Designs - Designer Extreme
Tools:  Spellbinders Labels Fifteen, Cuttlebug Embossed Tags
Embellishments: ribbon from stash

I would  like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Nature's Wonders

Good evening all, well what a wonderful weekend, such gorgeous weather, the only downside was I didn't get much crafting done but we can't have it all can we.

I've been busy trying to get lots of Christmas Cards ready for the Christmas Fair I'm doing in November but thought I'd take a bit of time out to blog this one as it seemed just right for the CD Sunday challenge this week - Nature's Wonders.

This lovely Robin is from Joanna Sheen's Jayne Netley Mayhew Part 2 CD and I just love it.  I'm really into decoupage again at the moment so I printed out loads of extra sheets and decoupaged him up, I even cut out more holly and decoupaged that up as an embellishment.  Yet again I didn't have any ribbon the right colour so out came the ProMarkers, the sentiment is also from the CD and I just added some card candi to finish with.

I used another sheet of matching backing paper from the CD to decorate the inside of my card.

Image and Papers:  Joanna Sheen - Jayne Netley Mayhew Part 2
Card Stock:  Core'dinations
Tools:  Spellbinders - Classic Squares (inside card)
Embellishments:  ribbon and card candi from stash
Sentiment: Joanna Sheen - Jayne Netley Mayhew Part 2

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

The CD Sunday Challenge - Nature's Wonders
Craft Catz Challenge 102 - Things with Wings
Sketchy Colors Challenge 87 - Red, Green and Grey
Don't forget to pop over to the Willow Sketchie Challenge Blog  there's still time to have a go at this weeks challenge, we have another great prize this week.
