Sun Hats and Sunflowers

I have at long last completed my Flip Book, I followed a tutorial by Gloria Stengel to create the flip book base, I just added a few extra pockets to mine.  I used a combination of Graphic 45's French Country Collection and Place in Time Collection to decorate it.

This is the front cover, it mainly uses papers from the Place in Time collection, the sunflowers are from the French Country collection - the book is secured with a ribbon.

Below the album is opened to show the inside front cover with a folder in the pocket and the back page closed.

Next you can see the back page opened to reveal a matching pocket with another folder inside - you can find photographs of both folders and the tags that are also in the album HERE.  The centre page has a belly band, I have placed a journal card behind it.

You open the centre page to the left and there is a pocket with two tags in it along with another page with a belly band and a journal card.

You open this page to the right to reveal another page with a pocket and journal card.  In the centre are two half pages.

The two half pages open to reveal another pocket with a journal card and a larger tag inside.

These projects are quite time consuming but fun to create and they do use quite a bit of paper, so at least I am using up some of my stash!

Thank you for visiting my blog today, please leave a comment so that I can come and visit you.

  25. I believe you when you say they are time consuming to make and that you use lots of papers. I think my number one challenge would be to pick papers to use, make sure everything is coordinated right, even though papers are from the same collection. They would make great gifts, these albums.

PS: I also adore the fact that G45 frequently uses real vintage images. Case in point, Modern Priscilla was a women's magazine that operated from 1887-1930 (prior to the arson fire we experienced in 2016, I owned a few Edwardian era copies myself - they were a captivating, beautiful glimpse back in time a century prior).
