Daydreamer

As soon as I saw the new Sara Davies Signature Collection called Vintage Diary, I just knew I had to get it, it's just my type of collection.  However, when it was delivered, I was at a bit of a loss to know what to do with it!  I think the problem is, there are no toppers, there are some stamps but as those of you that know me will know, I'm not much of a stamper!

Anyway, after I'd had a good look through the 12 x 12" paper pad I decided that I could cut some toppers from the papers. This girl reading is part of a paper, I just cut it out with a stitched rectangle die and inked the edges. I used four of the papers and cut the banners using my Die-namics Fishtail Flag dies, I cut the flowers from the reverse of one of the papers and added a sentiment from Lisa Horton Crafts Wordage Sheets.

Thank you for popping in today and thank you for all of the lovely comments that you leave, they are all read and much appreciated.

  1. Exquisitely beautiful card, Pauline. Like yourself, I too am drawn to items and collections with a distinctly vintage, antique, or otherwise yesteryear feel to them.

Happiest Easter weekend wishes from my heart to yours!

  11. I like that vintage look and pretty flowers. You don't have to be a stamper to make beautiful cards like you do.

  16. Wow! Gorgeous vintage card! I though that you have stamped the beautiful lady, instead it's a part of the paper, you have done a fabulous work with her! Love the design with the banners and the flowers!

  17. A super image, no idea why but it reminds me of Jane Austin, not that I knew her of course? Lovely background and embellishments.

  21. This is a beauty! I’ve been following you for, i don’t know, a decade? And I remember you stamping and coloring and you were great at it. But toppers and decoupaging has been your go to style lately. But if you were to need stamping again, I know you’d be good at it:)
