Craft Retreat

I took part in an online Craft Retreat at the weekend, it was run by Clare from My Creative Spirit and I have to say I really enjoyed it.  We created four projects, the first of which was this Tall Boy.  There were several options available, I chose the Platinum option which included all of the products that you needed to create all four projects.

We were supplied with all of the MDF pieces required to create this super project, the quality of the kit was fabulous, everything joined together perfectly.

I used papers from the Graphic 45 Bloom collection, they were also provided as part of the retreat, there were several different collections to choose from.

There were also two options for the design of the lid, I chose the simple one as I had not done anything like this before but you could also create a drop box with an acetate top if you wanted - maybe next time!

The three drawers all open, we attached little knobs and lined them on the inside.

This is my decorated lid, I will definitely give the drop box lid a go sometime soon, Clare explained how to do it really clearly and it wasn't as complicated as I thought it would be.  I will certainly join any future retreats, it was quite tiring but very enjoyable.

Thank you for popping in today and thank you for all of the lovely comments that you leave, they are all read and much appreciated.

  2. I love your completed Tall Boy Pauline and am glad that you enjoyed your first My Creative Spirit retreat. Clare is a wonderful tutor and always willing to go back and explain something if you've not understood, she is also a really friendly person in real life too. I'm looking forward to seeing the next three completed projects from you.

  17. Wow! This is amazing! Such pretty details and looks sturdy. I remember I did a furniture challenge with some friends about 7 years ago and I struggled to find something like this to make - this would have been perfect. Love your papers and that top is very pretty! Sounds like you had a great weekend. Hugz
