Mum's Memory Book

My Mum will be 92 years old on Thursday, she has vascular dementia and her memory is getting really bad now so I decided to make a photo album to help her remember some of our more recent holidays together.

I used my Graphic 45 Cafe Parisian collection and this is a selection of the pages, I won't bore you with them all - I apologise for the quality of the photographs, the sun could not make it's mind up whether to stay in or out!

Thank you for visiting my blog today, your company is much appreciated - please leave a comment so that I can come and visit you.

  4. Hi
I love the album, I did something similar for my mum when she had trouble remembering who her family was. Not only was it good for her but it helped carers and visiting family as they had something to do with her. I'm new to this blogging malarkey but will be visiting your page often. PS - I live just down the road in Romsey.

  11. What a lovely thing to make for your mother. I'm sorry to hear she has dementia. That is a hard disease and robs them of so much. This will help her remember all the good times with her family. That is so thoughtful of you.

  19. I made a book of photos for my mother as she became lost to her reality too many years ago and she often had it in her hands when I visited her. It's beautiful and sure to have special meaning quite often. Beautiful creation and a very happy birthday to your mum!

  26. Dear Pauline, I'm immensely sorry about your mother's health issues. We lost my MIL to a stroke brought on my early onset Alzheimer's back in September 2013, so I can relate in part to the difficulties and challenges that you and your family are experiencing with your sweet mom.

This is such an immensely thoughtful, gorgeous gift and way to help your mom remember some of your wonderful times spent together.
