Christmas Skates

It's time for a new challenge at Ooh La La Creations and the theme for the next fortnight is Anything Goes chosen by Meg.    I have created a Christmas card using a super image and papers from the Ooh La La Creations The Shawn Jenkins Collection CD .

Everything is from the CD with the exception of some red card stock.  I created the card candi by die cutting small circles from the card stock and adding 3D Crystal Lacquer.

I used the same papers to decorate the inside of my card.

Make sure you pop over to the Ooh La La Creations Challenge Blog and check out the DT inspiration, we would love for you to join us for our Anything Goes Challenge.

I would like to enter this card into the CD Sunday Challenge - Anything Goes.

How Does Your Garden Grow

I have a just because card to share today, I have just discovered the Hunkydory Craft Stacks and decided to have a play.

I used elements and papers from the How Does Your Garden Grow collection and added lots of dimension with foam pads.

I added some lace, string and ribbon from my stash and punched the borders with a Fiskars punch.

Party Time

This is the final Z-fold card that I created for this months Simply Cards & Papercraft Magazine. I was commission to produce a Masterclass on making Z-fold cards using the Trimcraft Make a Wish paper pad.

The balloons, numbers and birthday cake are all from the Crafter’s Companion Sara Davies Birthday Party Signature Collection. The letters are from the Lawn Fawn Finley’s ABCs Die collection.

This photograph shows the inside of the card ready to have the elements attached.

I really enjoyed making these cards, it was quite a challenge to create six especially as it's not a style that I normally make.

Christmas Wishes

This is my card for this weeks Less is More Challenge, the theme is Anything But Stamps.  I'm a bit late because we spent last week in Cornwall - it was a bit blustery but we had a lovely time.

I decided to make a quick Christmas card using some papers and fussy cut Christmas trees from the NitWit Simple Joys Collection.  The sentiment has been recycled from one of last years Christmas cards.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

July Rudolph Days Challenge - Anything Christmas
Less is More Challenge 338 - No Stamps

Congratulations On Your Engagement

I have been playing with my Crafter's Companion Camden Town CD to create this card for the current CD Sunday Challenge, the theme is Celebration.

I used a pretty topper and papers to make an easel card - I really like creating easel cards but they certainly are difficult to photograph.

I used two of the papers from the collection, tearing one and adding distress ink to the edges of everything.  I printed the topper twice so that I could add an extra layer using foam pads for dimension.  The sentiments are also from the CD.

I would like to enter this card into this weeks CD Sunday Challenge - Celebrations.

Birthday Garden

This is one of the advanced Z-fold cards that I created for this months Simply Cards & Papercraft Magazine. I was commission to produce a Masterclass on making Z-fold cards using the Trimcraft Make a Wish paper pad.

I created the trees with my Crafter’s Companion Die’sire Four Seasons Die, the little flowers are all separate and I coloured them with Spectrum Noir Illustrator Pens.  The fence is from the Polkadoodles Elegant Lamplight & Gate Die set and the sentiment is a Paper Smooches Stamp.

There is a step by step tutorial in the magazine explaining how to create these cards.

Caroling Snowmen

It's time for a new challenge at Christmas with the Cuties and the theme this month is Favourite Festive Digi.

I used the fun  Caroling Snowman image from our sponsor Paper Nest Dolls to create my card.

My inspiration came from a card I saw on Pinterest, of course I can't find it again now!  I coloured my snowman family with a combination of ProMarkers and Spectrum Noir Illustrator Pens before cutting them out with my Sue Wilson Pierced Ovals dies.

I printed some Pink Petticoat snowflake papers onto Kraft card stock and stamped a Lawn Fawn Sentiment.  The snowflake embellishments are a Clearly Besotted Snowflake die.

Make sure you pop over to the Christmas with the Cuties challenge blog and take a look at the Design Team inspiration, we would love for you to join us for our Favourite Festive Digi challenge.

Have you picked up a copy of the new Quick Cards Made Easy magazine, there are some super bonus papers in this months edition.  I was invited to join the Reader Design team this month and was sent the papers in advance.  These are not the cards that I made for the actual magazine, these are a couple of extras that I created - I don't know if my card is in the magazine or on the website, I haven't managed to get hold of a copy yet!.

There are seven lovely picnic themed papers and a selection of sentiments.

All I have added is some pink card stock, everything else is from the bonus papers.

On this card I just stamped and fussy cut some additional flowers.
