The Finer Things

I would normally be posting a CD Sunday DT card today but I have made the difficult decision to step down from some of my Design Teams due to some ongoing health issues and sadly CD Sunday is one of them.  I have also stepped down from Di's Digi Designs and Pink Gem Designs - I just don't want the pressure of creating to a deadline and using specific products quite so much at the moment.

I wanted to create a card for a gentleman that likes the finer things in life so I reached for my Crafter's Companion Downton Abbey CD.

I decided to use one of the card companions to create an easel card.

I added a few extra layers and used foam pads to add the image and sentiment.

Thank you for calling today, your company is much appreciated.

  1. Sorry to hear you've got health issues Pauline. I can understand the deadline thing though. It can sometimes take the pleasure out of being creative. A super card though and I hope all those drinks on the tray aren't for one person!! :-)

  8. You've got much on your plate and sometimes one needs things to calm down, so totally understand your need to limit dt obligations. Sometimes I need the dt assignments to be able to create, other times I need to just go with the flow and having no Iimitations.
The gentleman will be very happy with this card.

  24. This is such a distinguished card Pauline, love the black mats. You are very wise to trim back your commitments in order to take care of you. I found I was getting stressed by DT work that "had" to be done. So I stepped back and reduced the teams I was serving depending on the dates. I now find I am enjoying my creative time again and the challenges are spread nicely throughout the month. Hope you are recovering well xx
