Birthday Shaker

This is another of the projects that I created for the latest edition of Simply Cards & Papercraft. I was commissioned to create five masculine projects using the sunburst technique.

I used papers from the Dovecraft Back to Basics Blue Skies collection to create a shaker card.


I used my X-Cut Star Die to cut the shaker window and create a frame for it.


The sentiment banner is a DigiStamp Boutique stamp, I just wrapped it with some twine.

    Awesome look for a masculine shaker card. Especially love the way you did the background rays..makes me think of a cozy warm quilt...very serene with the shades & patterns of the blues radiating out behind the dark star! TFS & Happy Easter.

    Oh Wow! This is a gorgeous card Pauline - I love the Sunburst technique, it’s a great way to show off all those beautiful papers. It’s a wonderful idea to combine it with a Shaker design too. It looks really striking and the star works so well !!
