Happy Father's Day

My youngest son handed me a real challenge for the card he wanted me to make for him to give his Dad this year!  My husband makes models and then uses them for war gaming and Laurence decided that he wanted his card to reflect this.

As I'm sure you will know there are not very many images of this type available so I resorted to photocopying the box fronts of the kits that he makes up and recycling a map from an old book.

Lots of distress ink and a computer generated sentiment and this is what I came up with.  I also decorated the inside of the card to match.

Laurence was very pleased and I think hubby was quite impressed with his card.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Get Creative Challenge 17 - For the Boys/Father's Day
My Sheri Crafts Challenge 159 - Masculine
One Stitch At A Time Challenge 238 - Anything Goes with Men
Words 2 Scrap By Challenge 18 - It's a Man's World
Crafty Gals Corner Challenge 25 -  Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes
Inspiration Destination Challenge 39 - Always Anything Goes
Sentimental Sundays Challenge 264 - Happy Father's Day or Manly Cards
Recycle, Re-Purpose & Re-Invent Challenge - Always Anything Goes (recycled map page)

Thank you for calling today, please leave a comment so that I know you've been and will be able to come and visit you.

  40. This is such a wonderful card for so may reason including the imagination that went it to it but the thing that stands out the most is because it was a combined effort between you and your son meant for someone you both love. Really great job. Thank you for sharing this in the June challenge on Recycle, Re-Purpose & Re-Invent. and look forward to seeing more of your lovely creations.
