Hedgehog Love

It's time for a new challenge at Di's Digi Designs and the theme for the next fortnight is Lots of Embellishments.

I chose to use the gorgeous Pots of Hedgehog Love image, I coloured my image with ProMarkers and lightly inked the outside with Distress Ink.


I have used a Crafter's Companion embossing folder on the base layer and the frame is a Spellbinders die cut.  I know there might not be lots of embellishments by most peoples standards, but there are a lot for me!  I have added a bow, a flower, black gems and a butterfly.

    The yellow and black looks striking and such a cute image - I'm like you I cant seem to get away with adding loads of embellishments - I see it on other cards and try it on mine but it never looks right!!!

    I adore this one. I just picked up this image also last week but haven't started to color it yet. Your pots are so real looking. I only hope I can get mine to look as good with some Copic colors. Your shade of yellow for your background good perfect with your colored image. Fantastic card.

    Great call on the colors! I must admit I've never thought of your cards as not very embellished, because they're all so decorative, but you're right, this one has got more than the usual decorative elements, it's very beautiful.
