Bearly Mine Inspiration - Birthday Balloons

Good morning, it's my turn to show you an inspiration project for the Bearly Mine Inspiration and Challenge Blog.

I have used gorgeous papers from the Mini Dots collection to make a couple of simple Birthday cards.

and here are my cards

one for a girl

and one for a boy (or man)

I used Die-namics Fishtail Flag dies and Simon Says Stamp Balloon Dies, the sentiment is from Clearly Bessotted and the tag is a LOTV stamp.  I inked the edges of the balloons and papers with distress ink and heat embossed the balloons with 3 layers of clear embossing powder.

I would like to enter my cards into the following challenges:

Love to Create Challenge 141 - Anything Goes
Melonheadz Friends Challenge - Add a Sentiment
CAS on Sunday Challenge 46 - Ribbon and/or Twine
Through the Purple Haze Challenge 67 - Use a Punch or Die
Craft Your Passion Challenge 239 - Something beginning with B (Balloons)

Thank you for visiting me today, make sure you pop over to the Bearly Mine Inspiration and Challenge Blog and join in with this months Christmas Cards challenge.

  3. LOVE this design! And the colour palette (on both) is perfect! I think the neutrals really work well with the lovely dotty paper. Triple embossing the balloons is a great idea too... May have to borrow that! :-) x

  20. It's such a great idea to make two cards using the same design, look how different they turned out by just changing the colors! Very versatile designs, they work for a person of any age!
