All for show

I was delighted to be invited to join the team at the Inkspirational Challenge as a Guest Designer this week.  It is a photo inspiration challenge and this is the wonderful photograph that I was given:


I have taken my inspiration from the beautiful Peacock and made a card using a digi from A Day for Daisies.


I coloured my image with ProMarkers, created a mask and added some distress ink around the edges.  The patterned paper is from Bearly Mine Designs and I created the striped paper by colouring a panel with the same ProMarkers that I used for the image and then stamping the stripes with distress ink.


The border is an EK Success border punch and the sentiment is a Hero Arts stamp, I added a bow made with ribbon from my stash.

    This is absolutely stunning Pauline. You know I love ADFD imags aand you've coloured this one absolutely perfectly. I'm amazed you made that stripy paper - I thought it was crimped! Beautiful choice of backing paper - I must check out that brand. Overall a fantastic creation and we are proud as peacocks to have you as GDT at Inkspirational. Thank you.

    So beautiful! Both the photo and your card! Such gorgeous colour and a great design!

    I'm personally feeling rather drawn to the rich blue and shabby white in the photo, so may have a play with that if I get the chance! x

    Wow! Pauline, love this card, love the colours you have used on the peacock, which you have coloured in so beautiful. Love it all. That photo is gorgeous, I would love a dress like the one she is wearing, if only I had the figure for it lol!

    What a cool inspiration picture! Can you imagine having a peacock in your house? They make so much noise - at least the ones down the street do. They are sure pretty though. Great card - you captured the colors and your bow and layout are just as beautiful. Hugz!
