Special Day

This is the third and final card I will be making for my Mother in Law's Birthday this year.  I do find it difficult making for close family, especially the older ones - I have to try really hard to remember that I need to make something that the recipient will like rather than what I like!

I used a topper from a Hunkydory Card Kit that has been in my stash for ages and lots of Silver Mirri card stock, Mother in Law loves sparkle and shine.  I die cut a scalloped circle and punched a scalloped border, then I added some gems and ribbon from my stash.  The sentiment was in my sentiment drawer, I have no idea where it came from.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Crafting By Designs Challenge - M is for Mom
Creative Craft Cottage Challenge 21 - Flowers and Hearts
Little Red Wagon Challenge 236 - Seeing Spots!
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Spring Flowers
The Crafter's Cafe Challenge 62 - Mom or Special Lady
Paper Crafting Journey Challenge - Spots and/or Stripes
Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge 176 - 2 or more patterned papers
Creative Moments Challenge 42 - Anything Goes/Bingo (Flower, Die Cut/Punch, Ribbon/Bow)

Thank you so much for visiting me today, I always appreciate you taking the time to pop in.

  44. I agree it can be tricky to make cards to the ones that are closest to us, it's like you really want them to be special. But I think what would've disappointed my family members the most is if I were to give them a bought card. That's NOT an option any longer! Your card is classy, the silver mirri goes so well with the soft blue shades.
