Happy Birthday Grandad

It's time for a new challenge at Crafting for all Seasons and this week the theme is 'Something Hidden'.  I have made a card for one of my sons to give to their Grandad who is 87 years old today.


Mum and Dad always had a cat and the last two that they had were black and white so I thought that this image from Joanna Sheen's Ivory Cats CD would be ideal, the papers are Bearly Mine Designs Mini Dots.  I have used dark blue card stock and my Cheery Lynn Burlap Border die to add some texture along with some dark blue raffia.

I have hidden the sentiment behind the image.

    I might have mentioned it before, but I'm definitely a cat person and a cat lover! I've watched the program "Dog Whisperer" and I think I'm definitely not a dog person - I don't mind dogs, it's just a question of who would be taking who for a walk, and who would act as the "pack leader"... I like how you've hidden the sentiment behind the adorable cat image!

    A gorgeous 'kitty' image and a clever idea for the hidden sentiment. Great card. Love the burlap border haven't. Haven't seen that before but if I managed to get hold of that it would make up for the fact that I've never managed to find that wide trimming that looks similar.
