Love Letter

It's the beginning of a new week and time for a new challenge at Ooh La La Creations, our theme for this fortnight is - Love Story - you don't have to use an Ooh La La Creations product but we love it when you do.

I have used a gorgeous image from the latest  Ooh La La Creations CD - Yesterday's Memories - you can purchase the CD from the Ooh La La Creations online shop.

The image and  papers are both from the CD, full details of everything I have used are listed below.  I printed the image on water colour card stock and inked the edges of everything.  The smaller heart embellishments have all been treated to a layer of 3D Crystal Lacquer and I pleated some pink seam binding.

I got the idea for the little envelope with the love letter inside from my Quick Cards Made Easy magazine, there is a fabulous section in there by Julie Gibbs (Jules to those of us who know her - take a look at her blog 'Always with a Heart', make sure you have a coffee though because you will be there for some time).

As usual I have decorated the inside of my card to complement the front.

Card Recipe:

Image and Papers:  Ooh La La Creations - Yesterday's Memories CD
Card Stock:  Crafter's Companion
Tools:  Sizzix heart die
Embellishments:  ribbon, doily and lace from stash
Sentiment - recycled

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

  24. Hi Pauline

How beautiful and romantic this looks. Love your colours and the pleated seam binding (and of course the little envelope LOL!!).

Thank you for the little shout out. It was a big decision for me when it came to "what do I call myself" in the magazine. Part of me wanted to be known as Jules because that is what most people know me as - but I knew Mum would be buying the magazine and she called me Julie so I decided she would prefer to see that.

Your envelope is super posh with its scrummy lining!

Hope you are having a good week. I am having a super busy one!!!

    Love Jules xx
