I have made this card for my eldest son to give to my parent's. Matt starts college in September and the college he has chosen is twenty miles away, Mum and Dad have very kindly bought him a bus pass that he can use for college along with any other journeys he needs to make.
I wanted an image of a bus, but unfortunately couldn't find any modern ones so I have used this vintage image from Joanna Sheen's Fay Whittaker Collection. Hopefully the bus that Matt travels on will be a little more modern.
I have used some free papers from Crafter's Companion and followed the sketch from Sketches by Carly, full details of everything I have used are listed below.
I have decorated the inside of my card using the same layout as the front but I have used a spellbinders die to cut a large square for Matt to write his thank you message on.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
The CD Sunday Challenge - Bingo (die cuts, sentiment, stamp)
Sketches by Carly Challenge 62 - Blast from the past - I used Sketch #39
Paper Pretties Monday Challenge 51 - Use Scallops
Creative Belli Challenge 149 - Vacation/Travel (my ribbon is from last year)
Daisy Doodles Challenge 65 - Outdoors
Sugar Creek Hollow Challenge 24 - Vintage Travel
Jackson's Digital Expressions Challenge 17 - Anything Goes
Pixie Dust Studio Challenge - Vintage

Pauline, what a gorgeous card and how kind of your mum and dad for Matt. At least you'll still have him close. Thankfully my son went to part-time University in the town where we live. He did though move to his own home two weeks ago and I'm struggling severely but it will get better in time. Take care, Kym xxx
