Shy

Good evening, what terrible weather we are having here today, I hope you are all well.  This is a card I've made using the sketch over on the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog.

The image is Mo Manning's 'Shy' and I have coloured her with a combination of ProMarker and  Spectrum Noir pens.   The backing papers are from the Pink Petticoat Wild Blossoms collection that came free with my Quick Cards magazine.  I didn't have any ribbon to match so I coloured some seam binding with my Spectrum Noir pens and finished my card with some layered flowers topped with a button from my stash.

Full details of everything I have used are listed below.

This is the inside of my card that has been decorated to complement the front.

Willow Sketchie Challenge

Good morning everyone, it's my turn to host the challenge at Willow Sketchie this week.  This is the sketch that I have designed.

You can use anything from your crafty stash and it's OK to rotate the sketch or re-size the elements as long as the original sketch layout can be recognised.

This week the Design Team all used the 'Dear Santa' image which is available from the Willow Designs Shop and this is my card.

I decided to try something a bit different and went for a black and white colour scheme, I just added the smallest bit of red.  The backing paper is from my Bearly Mine Designs CD and I embossed some black card stock using a Darice Embossing Folder.  To finish the card I added some red gems and stamped a sentiment.  Full details of everything I have used are listed below.

I have decorated the inside of my card to complement the front.

Image:  Willow Designs - Dear Santa

Crafting for all Seasons DT Card

Hi everyone, this is my first DT card for the Crafting for all Seasons Challenge.  The challenge this time is:
BINGO

Just choose a row, vertically, horizontally or diagonally and include those three items on your card or project

Our sponsor for this challenge is The Stamping Boutique

and the prize will be…

3 digi stamps or 1 digital paper pack of your choice

We are also introducing something very special this time:

These beautiful images are drawn by Angelique Sliekje and they are absolutely gorgeous, but best of all they are all FREE.  Some of our DT, including me, have used her images to create their projects.   It was so difficult to choose an image from the fabulous selection available but eventually I chose the lovely image  -Mouse reading book

Isn't he just so cute.  I coloured him with a combination of ProMarkers and Spectrum Noir pens and teamed him up with some papers from The Paper Shelter.  The bingo line that I chose was buttons, die cut and tag - the flowers on the corrugated corners are buttons, both the border across the middle and the butterfly are die cut and the sentiment is printed on a little tag.  Full details of everything I have used are listed below.

I have decorated the inside of my card to complement the front

Image: Sliekje's Digital Stamps - Mouse reading book
Papers:  The Paper Shelter - Trattoria Chef
Tools:  Spellbinders Classic Squares (inside card) and Ric Rac Diamond Border, Die-namics Butterfly, CREAlies Tag

The inside of my card is decorated to complement the front.

Paul Texting

This is the second card I made for my 15 year old sons friend, I wanted to give him a choice.  This time I used another Mo Manning image - Paul Texting and coloured him using a combination of ProMarkers and Spectrum Noir Pens.  I have to say I think this is my favourite of the two but my son chose 'Air Guitar'.

I followed the sketch over at Sketch Saturday and made this one quite a bit brighter than the last one.  I used some My Mind's Eye papers I've had hanging around for a while and used Kraft for the base again.  Some texture was added with corrugated card and raffia.  The buttons were from my stash and the sentiment tag is cut down from my Spellbinders Ribbon Tag Trio Three and stamped with a LOTV sentiment.  Full details of everything I have used are detailed below.

As usual I have decorated the inside of my card to complement the front.

The image is 'Air Guitar' by Mo Manning and the papers are a NitWit download.  The music strip is from a kit by Hunkydory.  I followed Sue's sketch over at  Sketch n Stash and added a few bits from my stash along with a stamped tag from LOTV.  Full details of everything I have used are listed below.

I have decorated the inside of my card to complement the front.

I have decorated the inside of my card.

At the Seaside

Good afternoon, or is it evening, I hope you're all having a great weekend.  I've just got back from watching my eldest son performing at a charity event in the local park  He sings and plays guitar in a group called Talking to Amy, it's quite a challenge playing in the open but they were brilliant.

It's my Dad's 85th birthday tomorrow and this is one of the cards I've made for my sons to give him.   It's always quite a challenge making cards for men and making cards for older men is even more difficult, I always feel you can't add very much in the way of embellishments.

The image is 'Sailing Boat' from Joanna Sheen's Fay Whitaker All Our Yesterdays collection.  I coloured it with ProMarkers and attempted to do the sky following a tutorial on Bev Rochester's blog, such a talented lady.  I think I got a bit carried away with the clouds, but it was my first attempt and practice does make perfect, or so they say.

I added a little raffia and some corrugated corners with buttons, then finished off with a couple of stamped sentiments from LOTV.

As usual I have decorated the inside of my card to complement the front.

Papers: NitWit - In the Meadow
Embellishments:  corrugated card, buttons and raffia from my stash

I hope my Dad likes it.

I would also like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Stamps R Us Challenge  - Happy Birthday

Crafting for all Seasons DT Call

This post is to display three of my cards for the DT call being held over at Crafting for all Seasons.  It wasn't easy to pick three but eventually I chose these:

I have been card making for about 20 months now and am certainly enthusiastic,  all my spare time is spent crafting.  My first love was CD crafting, decoupage in particular, until I discovered blogging and challenges, this introduced me to rubber stamps and digital stamps.  I love all aspects of crafting, enter various challenges and am a member of several craft forums.  I've had a blog for the past four months and usually post about 4 or 5 times per week.  Please take a look at the other cards on my blog.

I often enter the Crafting for all Seasons Challenge, I was lucky enough to be chosen as one of your Top 3 in Challenge 5 and would love to be part of your Design Team.

Thank you for looking.

In The Garden

Good morning, it's Thursday and that means it's Willow Sketchie Challenge time again.  This week the team have been using the image 'Taking A Snooze' and following Sharon's Sketch.

Sharon decided to add some extras in addition to her sketch, she would like to see lots of layers and also something blue, something dimensional and something patterned.. You don’t need a Willow Designs image to take part but it would be good if you did.

This is the card that I made.

'Taking A Snooze' is a lovely image to work with, you can find it in the Willow Designs Shop, it comes as a black outlined image.  I printed the image twice and coloured it with ProMarkers also available in the shop.  I cut one image out and decoupaged  it onto the other image which I had cut out with a Spellbinders circle die.  I layered this onto a scalloped circle and another plain circle.

I rotated the sketch and made corrugated corners, added some buttons from my stash and a ribbon.  To finish I stamped a sentiment and layered this onto a small scalloped circle.

I decorated the inside of my card to complement the front.

Image:  Willow Designs - Taking A Snooze
Papers:  Bearly Mine Designs Designer Extreme CD
Tools:  Spellbinders - Scalloped Circles, Standard Circles
Embellishments:  corrugated card, buttons, ribbon and raffia from stash

I would also like to enter this card into the following challenges

Oh Christmas Tree

Good morning everyone, I was going to post this card last night but it took me so long to clean up all the glitter that I got everywhere I ran out of time.

I made this card for this weeks LOTV challenge - a sketch by Domi.  I chose a Christmas image that I've had for a while and got a bit carried away with the glitter.   First I glittered the edges of the image and backing paper, then I decided to glitter the edge of the sentiment and as I'd already got glitter all over my craft room I thought I would coat some die cut snow flakes in glitter as well.

The backing papers are a free download from Jack Heath, pop over and take a look, she has loads of  free downloads.

I have decorated the inside of my card to complement the front.

Image:  LOTV Die Cut Square
Papers: Jack Heath free download
Tools:  Spellbinders - Scalloped Circles, Create-A-Flake Three
Embellishments:  glitter, ribbon and lace from stash
Sentiment:  LOTV

I would also like to enter this card into the following challenges:

CES Challenge 47 - Feeling The Blues
