Neapolitan Birthday

This is my card for this weeks Less is More Challenge, it's Colour Challenge week and the colours are Neapolitan.


I have used cream card stock and papers from the My Minds Eye Lost & Found paper pad.  The flowers were cut with Joy Crafts Flower dies and the sentiment is a Marianne Design Sentiment die.  I used an Impression Obsession background stamp and Memento Rich Cocoa ink to create the striped papers.

Melody playing guitar

I have created this card using the same collection that I used for my Blog Hop card called Melody.


For my previous card I used the Composition to create a decoupage image, for this card I have used the digital stamp and coloured her with ProMarkers.

Halloween Mice

It's time for a new challenge at Di's Digi Designs and the theme for the next fortnight is Halloween or the colours Green, Orange, Black and Purple.

I chose this fun image called Halloween Mice, I coloured them with ProMarkers and used some My Mind's Eye papers that have been in my stash for ages.


The bats and spiders are Paper Smooches dies, I added black sparkle pen to them.


I made the sentiment using my latest purchase - a Dymo label maker, I've wanted one of these for ages!

Chasing Butterflies

It's time for a new challenge at Di's Digi Designs and the theme for the next fortnight is Summer is Here.

I chose to use this adorable image called Chasing Butterflies and some papers from My Mind's Eye that have been in my stash for ages.


I used Kraft card stock and made my flower with my Stamps by Chloe Floral Embellishments Stamp, the flourish is from the English Country Garden Signature Collection by Sara Davies.


The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards and the ribbon and pearls are from my stash.

Take a Selfie

This is my second DT card today - my Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra card is below and my Paper Creator DT card will be along shortly.

This is my card for the new challenge at Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge. The theme is always Anything Goes - you may enter any creation on which patterned paper has been used, you are no longer required to completely cover your project with patterned paper, as long as you use some on your creation.


I have used a Studio Light kit along with some My Mind's Eye papers.  All of the edges have been inked with Distress Ink and I have popped some of the layers up with foam pads.

Birthday Girls

Craftng for all Seasons is "FOUR" and to celebrate we have a special challenge with lots of sponsors.

Romantic Rose

I love the theme at Less is More this week, it's 'Newsprint' and lots of ideas popped  into my head when I saw what it was.

This is my second card, this time I have used papers from the My Mind's Eye Madison Avenue collection and as always my inspiration came from Pinterest.


Unfortunately, this is one of those cards that just does not photograph well!  I cut the heart with a Sizzix die and the rolled rose is a Marianne Creatables die.  The lace border is a Fiskars edge punch.

The theme at Less is More this week is 'Newsprint', I had loads of ideas pop into my head for this challenge - you could be seeing some more later in the week!

The last one ..

This is the last one of these cards using my Woodware 18th Birthday stamp, well at least until my 16 year old turns 18.


This one is for my eldest son's best friend, they have known each other since nursery and I popped a photograph of them both when they were about 5 years old inside the card.


I paper pieced the stamped image with papers from the My Mind's Eye Oxford Lane paper collection and the stars are an X-cut die with a good coat of 3D Crystal Lacquer.

Thank You Teacher

This is a card that I made for my son to give his teacher, he went back to school after being home educated for 8 years to take his GCSE exams and she has been absolutely brilliant.


I got the idea for the chalkboard style from a card by Kitty Frampton in the Quick Cards Made Easy Magazine.  I have used a sentiment from the DigiStamp Boutique, the original is black on white - I reversed it for the chalkboard look, the papers are some from My Mind's Eye that have been in my stash for ages.


The stars are my favourite X-cut die and I used an EK Success notebook edge punch, the little pencil has also been in my stash for ages.

I also made a matching gift bag.

Especially for You

I made this card for my Son to give to his girlfriend, she is eighteen today, we had a look at some cards on Pinterest and came up with a plan - this is nothing whatsoever like the plan, fortunately he liked it!


I used papers from the My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline collection, lots of Walnut Stain Distress Ink, my Tim Holtz Tattered Flower die, Marianne leaf die, Spellbinders Belly Band One die and a sentiment from Pink Petticoat.


The only other additions are a button, twine and ribbon from my stash.

My eldest had another 18th Birthday Party to go to so that meant another card, this time I managed to please him with my first attempt - didn't I do well!

You're the best

It's time for our mid challenge reminder at the House-Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge and this fortnight we have everyone's favourite theme: Anything Goes chosen by Dorte.

For my card I've used a fabulous stamp from Joanna Sheen's Happy Hoppers 'Always There' stamp set.


I coloured my image with ProMarkers and added 3D Crystal Lacquer to the taps and his toothbrush handle.  My papers are from the My Mind's Eye 'Miss Caroline Dolled Up' collection and the sentiment is a Clearly Besotted stamp.  I spent hours trying to find embellishments for this card and nothing looked right so in the end I left it plain.

Happy Halloween

I'm quite enjoying playing with my Halloween crafting bits and pieces this year - I've made another card using my Clearly Besotted stamps and dies.


I created my cloudy background with distress inks and cut the frame with my Spellbinders Labels Three dies.  The papers are My Mind's Eye and the small bats are a Memory Box die, everything else is from Clearly Besotted with the exception of the black pearls and 3D Crystal Laquer that I have aded to the black cat and large bat.

Spooky Treats

I thought I would make something special for our Trick or Treat visitors this year, we don't get that many - most of the children in our area have grown up now.

Here are the first two, made using my Clearly Besotted Boo to You and Fright Night stamps.  I have the matching die for the Pumpkin but the set to go with the Ghost were sold out so I fussy cut my ghost.


Here is a close up of them both individually:



The papers are My Minds Eye and Dovecraft Back to Basics - I coloured the orange stripes with ProMarkers.  I added some black corrugated card, punched the small stars and added some 3D Crystal Lacquer to them.  The sentiments are from Pink Petticoat.

Inside there is a little pocket just the right size for a small packet of sweets.

A gloriously spooky time!

This is my third card as a guest designer for the House-Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge, only one more to go - doesn't time fly when you're having fun.

The older I get ...

I noticed that the new challenge over at Totally Papercrafts was Bring Humour to your Creation and decided that I would make a card using one of my Bugaboo Gus images.

I eventually chose Gus golf and teamed him up with some My Mind's Eye papers.


I coloured Gus with a combination of ProMarkers and FlexMarkers and used Distress inks to create the sky and grass.  The burgundy panel has been embossed with my Cuttlebug Diamonds in the Rough embossing folder and I framed the sentiment with a disc cut using two Spellbinders circle dies.

I've made another card with this fabulous image from Bugaboo, you've probably noticed by now that I rather like her!


She has been coloured with ProMarkers and the papers are from the My Mind's Eye - The Sweetest Thing Bluebell collection.  I have added 3D Crystal Lacquer to her glasses and shoes, the sentiment comes with the image and I have stamped a little tag around it.  The ribbon, button and card candy are all from my stash.
