Best Friends

I have another couple of cards to share today that I created for the August edition of Making Cards Magazine. I used the free papers to create a total of twelve cards for this edition, some were featured in the magazine and some are on the Making Cards Website.

I used the cute Petals and Paws collection to create both of these cards, the aim is to show what you can create with a minimum of extras - all I have added is some coloured card stock, ribbon, buttons, twine and sentiments from my stash, .

Christmas Post

This is the final card that I created with the new Hunkydory Moonstone dies that were launched on Create and Craft recently - The Joy of Christmas, they come with a co-ordinating paper pad with perfectly sized images that you can cut out with the dies, they are now available in the Hunkydory shop.

To create this card I used one of the fabulous scenes along with some of the dies.


I also used the Season's Greetings Moonstone Die set for the sentiment, it is also available in the Hunkydory shop.

Haberdashery Shop

This is another of the projects that I created for the launch of the fabulous new Hunkydory High Street Concept Card Collections. The design team were asked to create projects using the kits but not actually re-creating the shops so I decided to create a little sewing kit.

I used elements from the Concept Card kit For Her, the Little Book and the Card Block, all of the pieces in the Concept Card kits are die-cut so you can just pop them out.


The complete collection is now available in the Hunkydory Shop.

Wish You Were Here

Pink Roses

This is the final card that I created for my son's girlfriend for her recent Birthday, this is the one that my Mum gave to her.


I used the Hunkydory Rosy Posies, it was a club gift I think.


Everything was from the kit, I just added some gold Mirri, I also decorated the inside of the card.

Scenic Christmas

This is another of the cards that I created for the launch of the new Hunkydory Moonstone dies - The Joy of Christmas, they come with a co-ordinating paper pad with perfectly sized images that you can cut out with the dies - they really are sized perfectly, it is so simple to cut them out and they are now available in the Hunkydory shop.

Barber Shop

Pauline Wheeler will be on Create and Craft at 3 pm today with the fabulous new Hunkydory High Street Concept Card Collections.

The design team were asked to create some different projects using the kits rather than creating the shops. This time I used the masculine themed collection to create a card.

I used elements from the Barber's Shop collection and also one of the pages from the Little Book and some card stock from the matching Card Block.


I fussy cut some elements from the Little Book to embellish my card and also cut the corners from the Little Book.

Shabby Chic Butterfly

This is the card that I made for my Son to give his girlfriend for her Birthday.


I used papers from the Sara Davies Rustic Wedding Signature Collection along with the Die'sire Delicate Wings Create-a-Card die.  I distressed the edges of everything and also added some distress ink.


The lacy border is another Crafter's Companion die, sorry I can't remember which one and the sentiment is one of Lynda Chapman's from The Paper Boutique.  I also decorated the inside of the card with more papers from the same Sara Davies collection and a Spellbinders die.

Party Shop

Anne-Marie is back on Create and Craft at 3 pm today with the fabulous new Hunkydory High Street Concept Card Collections.

The design team were asked to create some different projects using the kits rather than creating the shops. This time I used the fabulous Party Shop collection to create a side step card.

I used some Adorable Scorable, gold Mirri card and items from the Party Shop Concept Card kit, all of the elements are die-cut so you can just pop them out.

Boudoir

Anne-Marie is back on Create and Craft at 8 pm with the fabulous new Hunkydory High Street Concept Card Collections.

The design team were asked to create some different projects using the kits rather than creating the shops.  This time I used the fabulous female themed collection to create a little holder for some tissues.

I used some black Adorable Scorable to create the tissue holder and some of the pretty card stock from the Card Block along with one of the shop fronts.

The Coffee Shop

Hunkydory are on Create and Craft at 10 am today with the fabulous new Hunkydory High Street Concept Card Collections.

The design team were sent both High Street Concept Card collections, The Little Book of the Hunkydory High Street and the Hunkydory High Street Card Block containing 60 sheets of co-ordinating Adorable Scorable.  We were asked to create projects using the kits but not actually re-creating the shops.

My first card uses the Coffee Shop which is part of the Male themed collection.   You can find more projects created with this collection HERE.


I used elements from all of the items that I was sent, all of the pieces in the Concept Card kit are die-cut so you can just pop them out.


I also used a sheet from the Little Book and fussy cut a few bits and pieces from another of the sheets - you get 6 of each design.

Birthday Blooms

This is the card that I created for my son's girlfriend, it was her Birthday on Sunday.


The papers are from the Sara Davies Shabby Chic Signature Collection, I inked the edges of everything.  The sentiment, border and butterfly are also from Crafter's Companion - I die cut the sentiment several times and layered it up.


I created the flower and leaves with the stamp and die from the Crafter's Companion Stamp & Die Cardmaking Kit, the pearls are from my stash.

More Catitude

This is the final card that I created for the June edition of Making Cards Magazine, I created six cards using the free papers that were included with the magazine.

There were two sets of papers, one with lots of motivational sentiments and another featuring cats which I used to create this card.

Winter Snowdrops

This is another of the cards that I created for the launch the Hunkydory Christmas Topper Decks, I think I have nearly blogged them all now!

I decided to create a shadow box card using one of  the beautiful snowdrop images from the Festive Floral Ttopper Deck.


I also used some of the gorgeous Special Addition Christmas Adorable Scorable, some Silver Mirri Card and the Snowflakes & Swirls Festive Frames Moonstone Dies.  The sentiment is from the
Essential Book of Christmas Sentiments 2018.

Christmas Blooms

This is another of the cards that I created for the launch the Hunkydory Christmas Topper Decks, I have so many cards that I haven't managed to blog yet!

I used one of the gorgeous flowers from the Festive Floral Ttopper Deck, there are three of each design so I fussy cut some flowers to use as a stopper.


I used the stunning Christmas Wishes - Twinkling Tag Moonstone Die to create my easel card base and the Season's Greetings Moonstone Die set for the sentiment.

For my Friend

Nature Never Grows Old

It's nearly time for the launch of the brand new Nature's Gift collection by Lynda Chapman, it will be on Create and Craft at 7 pm on 16th August.

To create this card I have used one of the beautiful dies, a sentiment topper, one of the papers and some of the co-ordinating sheets of card stock.


This is a gorgeous collection themed around the seasons, the colours are beautiful - make sure you tune in to the shows, Lynda will have lots of fabulous demonstrations and there will be lots of inspiration from the design team,

Festive Trimmings

Have you seen the new The Joy of Christmas collection from Hunkydory, there are dies and a co-ordinating paper pad with perfectly sized images that you can cut out with the dies - they are really simple to line up and cut out and they are now available in the Hunkydory shop.

For this card I used the dies and the co-ordinating paper pad to cut the frame and the beautiful Christmas tree.  The background and sentiment have been cut from the fabulous new Flexi-weight Adorable Scorable - it has been designed for die cutting and is also perfect for all of your matting and layering.



For my second card I used the same A Holly Jolly Christmas Moonstone Die and sentiment but this time I cut it from the Flexi-weight Adorable Scorable.


I cut the elements to create the scene from the co-ordinating paper pad.
