Welcome Baby

This is the first of two DT posts today, my Di's Digi Designs card you can find it HERE.

It's time for a new challenge over at A Gem of a Challenge and the theme is Clean and Simple chosen by Debs.

I decided to make a Baby card using the adorable Baby Set, the kit contains black outline and coloured images for both a boy and a girl.  I used the black outline image and coloured it with ProMarkers - not that it needs much colouring!

The sentiment stamp is from Simon Says Stamp. I embossed some lines around the outside and added the image to a pale blue card base - very Clean and Simple.

The prize is:

2 Individual Digi images

(NO SETS, PERSONALISED WATERMARK'S OR SENTIMENT SETS)

of the winners choice from PINK GEM DESIGNS

Make sure you pop over to the Pink Gem Designs Shop and take a look, Janet is always adding lots of fabulous new images, Card Topper Digi Kits and Project Kits.

A Golden Oldie

I have decided to join some of my blogging buddies and visit Erika at Snappy Crafts today to show a golden oldie, I hope she doesn't mind.  This is the very first card that I ever blogged back in April 2011.

The stamp is Outdoor Adventure by Sugar Nellie, coloured with ProMarkers and the sentiment is a Polkadoodles stamp.  The standard of photography hasn't improved much - hubby is going to buy me a new camera for my Birthday, hopefully that will help!

I hope everyone has a lovely weekend, hubby is going out for the day on Sunday so guess what I will be doing!

Thank you for visiting me today, your company is much appreciated.

Happy Birthday Stud

This is the Birthday card that I made for my son to give his girlfriends Father, I take absolutely no responsibility for the image - he chose it!

It is a decoupage kit from CraftsUprint, I cut out some extra beer mugs and cut the handles away because otherwise his fingers were showing and popped them up as embellishments.

The papers and the sentiment are part of the kit.

Matt gave him the card on the morning after his Birthday Party and he said it was just how he looked!

Chamomile Tea

It's time for our mid challenge reminder at the House-Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge, our theme is: Friends, chosen by Sue Kment - alternatively you can enter an Anything Goes card just as long as you use a House-Mouse, Happy Hopper or Gruffie image.

I have used an adorable decoupage image from Joanna Sheen's House-Mouse Decoupage CD ROM.

My Papers are from Nitwit Collections and the sentiment is from a Paper Creator kit.  I have used a quite basic layout, I really don't think these gorgeous images need over designed backgrounds, I couldn't decide whether to centre the sentiment under the image or the whole card, on reflection I think it would have looked better in the centre of the card.

My only embellishments are some seam binding and a few gems.

Our fabulous sponsors for this challenge are:

Best Dad Ever

My eldest son's girlfriend asked me to make a card for her Father's Birthday, the only brief I had was it had to have something to do with 'fishing' - this is what I came up with.

I have used Alf Fishing from the DigiStamp Boutique and coloured him with ProMarkers.

The sentiment is also from the DigiStamp Boutique and my papers are from Nitwit Collections.  I inked the edges of all of the papers and used a Clearly Besotted Scalloped Border die on the central border panel.

Good Shoes

It's time for a new challenge at Ooh La La Creations and the theme for the next fortnight is Add Something Green.

Mother's Rose

Today I am sharing my fifth and final card that was recently published in Creative Cardmaking magazine.

I did find it rather difficult to create five cards to the same quite rigid specification, but I do like a challenge!

For this card I used an image and papers from Joanna Sheen's Jane Shasky From the Heart of the Garden CD ROM.

The sentiment is a LOTV stamp cut out with a Spellbinders Banner die, I also added a bow tied with ribbon from my stash

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Creative Knockouts Challenge 76 - Floral Delight
Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper February Challenge - Anything goes with Patterned Paper

Another two .....

Today I am sharing another two of my cards that were recently published in Creative Cardmaking magazine.

As I said yesterday, I was commissioned to create 5 Mother's Day cards and each one had to be achieved within a 20 minute time limit.  When I say that each card had to be achieved within 20 minutes, that did not include the planning of the card or deciding on which image/papers to use etc., it was purely the time taken to actually put the card together.

For this card I used a decoupage image from Joanna Sheen's Jane Shasky Decoupage Sheets, I only used one layer of the decoupage and a sentiment from Pink Petticoat.

I added a scrap of woodgrain paper from my stash and the scalloped border is a Clearly Besotted die.

For the second card I used papers from Joanna Sheen's Jane Shasky From the Heart of the Garden CD ROM and created another CAS card.

The sentiment is from Pink Petticoat again and I just added a knotted piece of.ribbon.

I would like to enter these cards into the following challenges:

CD Sunday Challenge - Floral Frenzy
Crafty Gals Corner Challenge 6 - Anything Goes Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge 3 - Anything Goes
Crafty Calendar February Challenge - Anything goes
613 Avenue Create Challenge 110 - Anything Goes - Optional Twist: CYOC: Color Bingo

Thank you so much for visiting today, your company is much appreciated.
