I have used some more of the paper that I made from my Carta Bella Winter Fun paper pack using my favourite technique from the Pattern Play Online Card Class.

The white panel has been embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder using an embossing diffuser to create a smooth oval on which to place my tree.  My sentiment is a Kirsty Wiseman stamp on a hand cut banner.

Snow Days

I have made this card to enter this weeks CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge, I nearly missed the deadline - something I manage to do rather a lot.

I have been using my favourite technique from the Pattern Play Online Card Class - you really should check these classes out they have some fabulous ideas and techniques.

I cut quarter inch strips of paper from my Carta Bella Winter Fun paper pack and adhered them diagonally to a plain piece of paper. I then used my Clearly Besotted Delightful Doilies die to cut out the doily shape that I have used as a wreath. The sentiment came from the paper pack and the button and twine are from my stash. The spotty papers are also from the Carta Bella paper pack and the white panel has been embossed with a Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Every leaf is a flower

I have made this card for the current challenge at Clearly Besotted, you can either use the colour palette or make an autumn themed card.

I have used my Autumn Flowers stamp set to make this very clean and simple card - I think this is the first card I have every made that just involves stamping and distress inks.

My inspiration came from a card created by Nancy Ferb that I saw on Pinterest.  I used one of my acrylic blocks to stamp the base, the text section is one corner of a Hero Arts stamp, the leaves and sentiment are both from the Clearly Besotted Autumn Flowers stamp set.  I only used two Tim Holtz distress inks - Antique Linen and Brushed Corduroy, I  inked the leaf stamp once, stamping the second leaf without re-inking.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Clearly Besotted Challenge 5 - Colour Inspiration/Autumn Theme
Chocolate, Coffee and Cards Challenge 50 - Autumn
C.R.A.F.T. Challenge 228 - Autumn/Halloween/Thanksgiving

Such fun ....

When I saw the challenge theme over at the CD Sunday Challenge blog this week I knew I had to make a card and I knew exactly what I wanted to make.  I have had the Nursery Rhymes Papercrafting CD for ages and have never used it, so it was time I made a card with it.

The theme for the challenge is 'To the Moon and Back', so I thought the nursery rhyme 'Hey Diddle Diddle' would be ideal:

I have layered the image onto a Spellbinders Deckled Rectangle and then onto green card stock, the gingham papers are from Pink Petticoat and I computer generated the sentiment and then stamped the blank LOTV sentiment tag over it before fussy cutting them.  The ribbon, buttons and twine are from my stash.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

The CD Sunday Challenge - To the Moon and Back
ABC Challenge 48 - National Children's Day

Spooky Treats

I thought I would make something special for our Trick or Treat visitors this year, we don't get that many - most of the children in our area have grown up now.

Here are the first two, made using my Clearly Besotted Boo to You and Fright Night stamps.  I have the matching die for the Pumpkin but the set to go with the Ghost were sold out so I fussy cut my ghost.

Here is a close up of them both individually:

The papers are My Minds Eye and Dovecraft Back to Basics - I coloured the orange stripes with ProMarkers.  I added some black corrugated card, punched the small stars and added some 3D Crystal Lacquer to them.  The sentiments are from Pink Petticoat.

Inside there is a little pocket just the right size for a small packet of sweets.

I would like to enter these treat holders into the following challenges:

I noticed that the new challenge over at Totally Papercrafts was Bring Humour to your Creation and decided that I would make a card using one of my Bugaboo Gus images.

I eventually chose Gus golf and teamed him up with some My Mind's Eye papers.

I coloured Gus with a combination of ProMarkers and FlexMarkers and used Distress inks to create the sky and grass.  The burgundy panel has been embossed with my Cuttlebug Diamonds in the Rough embossing folder and I framed the sentiment with a disc cut using two Spellbinders circle dies.
