WOW with a touch of Blue

This is my second DT card for Crafting for all Seasons Challenge 15, as I said on my previous post the thought of making a card that was predominately white filled me with dread.  However, once I got over my panic I really enjoyed the challenge and will certainly be making some more WOW cards in the future, so if you look at the challenge and think I don't do WOW, I would say give it a go you might surprise yourself like I did.

We have two great sponsors again this week, Some Odd Girl who are providing 3 digital images for one lucky winner and Whoopsi Daisy who are offering 2 sheets of digital images that's 8 images in total to a second lucky winner.

This is the card I made using one of the Whoopsi Daisy images from Sheet 199, there are four fab images on each sheet, pop over and check them out they are gorgeous.

This time I've added just a touch of blue with my ProMarkers and some glitter to her wings.

White on White

This is the first of my DT cards for Crafting for all Seasons Challenge 15, I must admit I had a bit of a panic when I saw that the challenge this time was WOW (White on White), you might have noticed that I rather like my colour and the thought of making a card that was predominately white filled me with dread.  However, I must admit I rather enjoyed the challenge and will certainly be making some more WOW cards in the future, so give the challenge a go even if you don't normally do WOW, I'm sure you will enjoy it.

We have two great sponsors again this time, Some Odd Girl who are providing 3 digital images for one lucky winner and Whoopsi Daisy who are offering 2 sheets of digital images that's 8 images in total to a second lucky winner.

This is the card I made using the Some Odd Girl image Head in the Clouds Kaylee, you must pop over and check out these fab images.

I think I did quite well considering my love of colour,  just a few splashes of yellow apart from her face and hair which I coloured using ProMarkers.

Willow Sketchie Midway Reminder

As some of you know I had a table at a local Christmas Craft Fair yesterday, well this is it.

It was a long day, 10am to 4pm, but it was good.  Not as busy as previous years and people did not spend quite as much as normal but still quite a few cards were sold so there is now more room in my craft room and more money for crafting goodies.

There is still plenty of time to join this weeks challenge over at the Willow Sketchie Challenge blog.  This is the lovely sketch we have this week:

Pop over and have a go you could win a voucher to spend in the Willow Sketchie Shop.

Thank you for looking.

Let it Snow

This is a card I have made for this months Crafter's Companion Challenge - Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow.  Well there's certainly plenty of snow on my card, I got out my World of Beatrix Potter CD, one of the very first CDs I ever bought and used a set from the Decoupage Books section, yes back to my favourite decoupage.

I added some glitter to some of the snow drifts, trees, roofs and fence but it doesn't show up very well on the photo.  The sentiment is from one of my Polka Doodles CDs, sorry I can't remember which one.

The backing paper and insert are also from a Beatrix Potter CD.

Midway Reminder

These are a couple of items that I've made for the craft fair I'm selling at next weekend, the cute little tag is an image from the Walter and Winnie does Christmas CD available in the Willow Designs Shop, I might use the gift bag to package the handmade jewellery that I am selling alongside cards and other paper crafted items.

This is a closer view of the tag, I printed a ready coloured image and just added a little more colour to the stocking with ProMarkers, I then mounted it onto some red core'dinations card stock.  I also added some more white card stock to the back of the tag for the greeting to be written on.

I used the same core'dinations card stock to cut a little border for the gift bag, I then added a button with a seam binding bow to finish.

There is still time to join this weeks challenge over at the Willow Sketchie Challenge blog, it is my turn to host this week and this is my sketch:

Christmas Stocking

This week it's my turn to host the Willow Sketchie Challenge again and this is the sketch that I've chosen:

I think it's quite an easy one to follow and of course you can rotate the sketch or re-size the elements as long as the original layout can be recognised.  You can use anything from your crafty stash but we'd love to see something from Willow Designs if you have it.

This week the Design Team all used the Walter and Winnie does Christmas CD again and here is the card that I made:

This image is also available as a digital stamp from the Willow Designs Shop.  The papers are from the CD and the card stock is Tim Holtz Kraft-Core Core'dinations.  Full details of everything I have used are listed below.

This is the inside of my card, I have decorated it to co-ordinate with the front:

Give Thanks and Celebrate

This is my second card for the new Crafting for all Seasons Challenge which has two great sponsors again this week, The Stamping Boutique who are providing a great prize of either 3 digi images or 1 digi paper pack and Bugaboo Stamps who are offering a fantastic 7 digis as a prize.

This week we are celebrating Thanksgiving but you have the choice to make

a Thanksgiving card
a Thank you card
use the sketch

or any combination of the three

We don't really celebrate Thanksgiving in the UK but I decided to make this card using The Stamping Boutique image 'Audrey the Pilgrim' anyway:

I followed this weeks sketch from the Sketch Saturday Challenge.  I coloured the image with ProMarkers and cut it out using a Spellbinders die, Kraft card stock has been used as a base and for the sentiment.  The backing paper is from Joanna Sheen's 'House Mouse Inserts CD' and the flowers, buttons and bakers twine are from my stash.  Full details of everything I have used are listed below.

I have decorated the inside of my card to match the front:

Image: The Stamping Boutique - Audrey the Pilgrim
Papers:  Joanna Sheen - House Mouse Inserts CD
Tools:  Spellbinders - Classic Ovals, Beaded Ovals, CREAlies Label
Embellishments:  flowers, buttons and bakers twine from stash

Say it with Flowers

It's Crafting for all Seasons Challenge time again and this week we are celebrating Thanksgiving but you have the choice to make
a Thanksgiving card
a Thank you card
use the sketch

or any combination of the three

We have two sponsors this week, The Stamping Boutique  who are providing a great prize of either 3 digi images or 1 digi paper pack and Bugaboo Stamps who are offering a fantastic 7 digis as a prize.

I decided to make some Thank You cards using the 'Flower Can' image from Bugaboo Stamps.  I printed the image four times and coloured it in four different colours.

I cut each image out using my Spellbinders Big Scalloped Ovals and then drew around the die and cut out the larger shape to back them, I then added some colour to the base cards, the scalloped mats and the images using Antique Linen Distress Ink.

To complete each card I added a seam binding bow coloured with ProMarkers to match the flowers on the image and some roses.  The sentiments are a LOTV label stamp with computer generated text.

I had to colour the roses on this one to match the image and ribbon as I couldn't find any the right colour, I don't know how I ever managed before ProMarkers.

I just added a plain white insert to each card.

Card Recipe

Image:  Bugaboo Stamps - Flower Can
   Tools:  Spellbinders -Large Scalloped Ovals

Keeping Fit

This is a card I made for my Husband's Birthday, he's become a bit of a fitness fanatic, me and the boys have decided that he's having a mid life crisis!

I followed the sketch over at Sketch Saturday and used some of my Joanna Sheen House Mouse Decoupage, I love using this decoupage but can't bear to give the cards away, so using it on a card for my husband means I can at least keep it in the house.  I used backing paper and a sentiment from the House Mouse Inserts CD and the card stock is my favourite core'dinations.

The panel and corners were embossed using one of my new Darice embossing folders from Crafter's Companion and the buttons and twine are from my stash.

I printed an insert from the CD and backed it with matching core'dinations card stock for the inside of the card.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Warmest Wishes

Time for another Willow Sketchie Challenge and this week it's Lisa's turn to host and provide us with a sketch.  The DT have all used the gorgeous Walter and Winnie does Christmas CD and I chose another of the fab ready coloured images, I'm just so busy at the moment preparing for my craft fair at the end of the month and these images are great for making a quick card.

Both of the gorgeous papers are from the CD and I've inked the edges and layered them onto core'dinations card stock.  I have also inked the edges of the image and the stamped sentiment so that everything co-ordinates.  A few die cut snowflakes and gems finish the card.  Full details of everything I have used are listed below.

I have used the same papers and die cut shape to decorate the inside of my card.

Secret Garden

Good evening everyone, this is a card that I've made for the Polka Doodles Challenge this week which is to make a Shaped Card.  I really enjoyed making  this card, it is very different from the type of card I normally make.

Everything except the base card stock is from Polka Doodles Paper Boutique Vol 1.

As you can see the little door opens to reveal the 'Secret Garden'  within the card and there are loads of decoupaged layers, it took ages to cut everything out but it's quite relaxing to do.

This view shows the inside of the card and the 'Secret Garden' within.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Polka Doodles Challenge Week 44 - Shaped Card
All Sorts Challenge Week 128 - Anything but Square
Little Darlings Challenge 10 - Not Square

I kept things quite simple, the backing paper is actually part of the matching insert from the CD and I've added a seam binding bow, some buttons and heart shaped gems from my stash.

Winter Hug

This is my second DT card for the Crafting for all Seasons Challenge, this week the theme  is 'Texture' and we have two fabulous sponsors - Meljen's Designs who are offering our winner four digis of their choice and The Paper Shelter who are offering a $20 gift certificate, fab prizes aren't they.

This is the card I made using the lovely coloured image 'Warm in Winter' by The Paper Shelter:

I cut the image using a Spellbinders circle die and matted it onto a Scalloped circle of plain grey card stock.  The papers are from a Willow Designs CD and I have stitched them onto the same card stock.  I used my Tim Holtz 'On the Fence' die to make the little picket fence and then ribbled it for extra texture.  The snowflake is another spellbinders die along with the Ironwork Motifs die that I think makes a perfect large snowflake.  Some gorgeous Creative Expressions ribbon and a stamped LOTV sentiment complete the card.  Full details of everything I have used are listed below.

I have decorated the inside of my card to complement the front:

Image:  The Paper Shelter - Warm in Winter
Papers:  Willow Designs - Walter and Winnie does Christmas CD
Tools:  Spellbinders - Ironwork Motifs, Scalloped Circles and Create-A-Flake Three,

Warm and Cozy

Time for another Crafting for all Seasons Challenge and this week the theme is Texture.  We have two fabulous sponsors this time - Meljen's Designs who are offering our winner four digis of their choice and The Paper Shelter who are offering a $20 gift certificate, I just wish I could enter.

This is the card I made using the gorgeous Meljen's Designs image 'Cozy Winter Owl':

I just loved working with this image, I coloured it using my ProMarkers and then added some flower soft to his hat and the snow on the branch.  I then cut the image out before layering it onto an embossed die cut.  I layered the Dovecraft papers onto my new favourite Core'dinations - Tim Holtz Kraft-Core, I don't know how I managed before Core'dinations.

I used my edgeabilities to cut a border strip from the same Core'dinations card stock which I then embossed with a wood grain embossing folder and added some raffia and a charm.  A stamped sentiment, die cut snowflake and punched snowflake with gems in the centre finish the card.  Full details of everything I have used are listed below.

This is the inside of my card, I have decorated it to complement the front:

Image:  Meljen's Designs - Cozy Winter Owl
Papers:  Dovecraft - Jolly Happy Christmas
Tools:  Spellbinders - Edgeabilties Classic Ric Rac, Scalloped Ovals, Scalloped Circles and
Create-A-Flake Three,
